It is very easy to plant with these auger bits. Our drill is 24 volt cordless, so we were able to dig into the grass with it without any problem. Our soil is somewhat rocky, so we did have a few issues, but we managed to get the drills out without too much difficulty. Any time you need to drill a hole of this diameter in any soil, we highly recommend them. In order to make a pilot hole, I first used the smaller bit and then the larger.

I purchased them for installing sprinklers and planting some small shrubs in my lawn. I live in a hard, dry zone, and these bits worked well with my Dewalt 20V are solidly constructed, and the plastic is of high quality It is thoughtful to include a fingered glove when digging in wet ground to keep mud off the augur.

You can get them here for a lot Planting bulbs or smaller plants easily and efficiently can be accomplished with these augers. This method will crack even the most hardened soil when paired with a decent drill. They were offered at a local home and garden show, I saw them on Amazon, but they are much cheaper. That is what I like about.
