It was necessary to extend it by that much. I love how it fits and works!
So far, I have only used it for my Earthquake Auger, but if the extension's size specs match the Thunderbay's, I would expect it to work.
7/8" round connectors are available on the ext 12 jack. If the shaft on the sea438 has a 7/8" diameter you should be able to use
In my opinion, the earthquake extension won't work with harbor freight augers. I believe the harbor freight one has a smaller diameter shaft than the earthquake extension, so I am 99% sure it won't work, and hopefully someone can confirm for sure.

Good product that does what it is supposed to do. Doe, exactly, what it is supposed to do. It is unfortunate that the extension was sent with the nut and bolt inside the receiving hole of the extension. Since the nut and bolt were not together, they wedged against each other, making it very difficult for the user to remove. In order to use the extension, I had to bang against it for 30 minutes because it didn't come with the nut and bolt. The company should include the nut and bolt together if they intend on shipping the extension that way.
There is a shaft diameter of 7/8 inches on the input and output. This expands the hole depth by 12 inches, but it also raises the powerhead to a level that some may find uncomfortable. The price seems a little steep for what it is, but there are other extensions with similar features.
A plastic tube container is included for storing the extension if you want. Includes bolt and nut, as well as well packaged. Does not cause any problems with the Powermate auger. This is a great addition for post holes below the freeze line since it adds an additional foot down.
A cheap price. The power head wobbles so much that it is going to break. There is a loose connection. A wobble can be felt. There's no difference between this and a straw in terms of stability.
I can make the desired depth thanks to this very useful tool.
Is there anything else I can That's what makes it work.
I found this extension to be a perfect fit for.
