It is difficult these days to find any products made in the USA. In the end, we're still stuck with Stanley, Porter Cable, Delta, Black And Decker, DeWalt, etc., and it doesn't look like anything will change until America grows up

The most common use is for.
Even though it was made from carbon steel, it didn't stand up to much abuse. It took me twice that long to drill six 25" holes in standard dimensional lumber before it wore out and stopped grabbing the wood. It also does not clear the wood up the flute after drilling. This only happens at the tip because the tip gets caked Afterwards, I even retooled it at a service shop because he said the blade had worn down too far to resharpen. The only thing I did was drill six holes!.
As it turned out, there were a few chips in the spiral that ejected from the package, nothing that would have negatively affected the chip ejection, but it doesn't speak well of the steel quality or manufacturing process. I had high standards here and the cutting edge was somewhat sharp. It is rough to the touch (I have very high standards here) and a little dull already. Due to my concern about the cost of $80 - instead, I asked for a full refund. It's a good alternative for what it's going to be used for at $200. I will say it looked better than many others in this price range I have seen. If you intend to use it every day, you should invest in a better quality bit. If you intend to use it occasionally, this one will be sufficient.
The drill started off well, but after boring a dozen holes, the drill was dull quick and I didn't hit a nail. My only wish is that it has held up for a longer time. The only thing to remember is not always to pay too much.
I have switched from using a spade bit to this one. Bits like this do the job and are great on fuel drills like the M18, but should probably be used in a corded drill as well. Good product. Very satisfied with it.
It measures 7 inches long. There is no way to drill through 7 inches of wood with this augur bit. As of this writing, the drill bit measures 6 inches lengthwise and 1 inch in diameter.
I love this part. I drill a lot of holes in my work as a locksmith. far, I have found it to be the best.
Honestly, you would need another drill to get any use from this one. I was disappointed with how aggressive the bit was for using a hand held drill.
