The reviews for this auger were many before I made my decision. My research on drill mounted augers revealed a number of common problems. I. *. In some cases, there are welds holding the blade to the shaft that allow it to fall off. 3.
It is no longer possible to use the drill to hold the auger since the bit has ripped. 1.
2. Despite the fact that the heads are not very effective at digging into the dirt *. * * The reviews on this one were pretty good, so I chose it. In my experience, this auger did not have any of the bad traits that I found in the other augers. When I was augering into clay, I did experience bit slippage at one point. It did look a little bit stripped to me when I looked at it. It had a good enough edge to grip when I tightened the drill up. If you use a drill bit, be sure to tighten it each and every time. I have never seen an auger as tough as this. I had to take the drill out of my hand the first time I used it because I An auger like this is the best option if you want a tough one that can fit inside a normal cordless drill.
Honestly, I'm amazed at how cool this thing is. A 70-plant planting was completed with this tool in just one day. I had to slip my 18v Bosch power drill's clutch towards the end of our planting, as it appeared to have weakened the clutch. As it was set to "drill", it didn't slip on a clutch setting, but now it always slips. If you think that your drill is high quality, beware because it might shut it down!.
During the day before, I made sure to water the ground a lot. As long as I didn't hit a rock, this item worked great. There is a place in Tennessee called ROCKY TOP and it is known as Tennessee. You also need to increase the power slowly and steadily. If you bump the power up too quickly, you will definitely notice the torque. By using this item, I was able to cut my work time in half.
A lot of soil has built up around me. The soil is rich in A hole for bulbs or small plants can be drilled very quickly with this tool. In the past couple of years, my garden and gardening pleasure have grown (like a weed). My previous experience with hollow units was with an entirely different manufacturer. We used this unit for a few days in heavy soil and the weld crumbled after a few times. My drill is powered by a powerful corded drill and I use the attachments. It's a solid core unit I highly recommend! The gardener friends in your life would appreciate receiving this gift as well.
Definitely a solid piece of construction, perfect for my needs. The video says it all. I just have to get more for gifts.
When compared to other ones I have seen, this one is the best. It works with a cordless 3/8-inch drill. Use with caution if your drill has a more powerful motor, as it could hold on to rocks or debris and catch, possibly causing damage. This drill makes perfect holes for the planting of small to medium-sized plants Pots sized 4 inches for nursery plants. Can easily be reamed out if the hole is larger. A heavy-duty truck Welds are strong and the steel is of high gauge.
A lot of time is spent in the garden using it. I am also using this as a post hole digger to dig a small hole for a fence post.
Only one fifth of the stuff is useful. This product was more than useless to me. Although I hoped to get the best from this product, I seem to have received the worst. The product was a total waste of money, regardless of the size of the hole it made. Using this device, I thought you would need it only on soil that was already so crumbly and granular that you wouldn't need it to begin with. I would recommend you skip it and use a trowel, or you could work the soil to a good consistency before planting.
I experienced a number of problems with this. From the beginning, it would not want to stay in my drill's chuck, and after less than a minute of use, it would come loose. It would not work if it got stuck in hard soil or a rock and you would have to risk damaging your drill. In addition, if you use it on dusty soil, the dust is likely to get into your drill and make it dirty. If you want to use this auger for this purpose, you should get one that is heavy-duty Having the duty to perform the job is enough. However, you will only be able to accomplish this if you do not actually need it to be with you. This is a poor conception of the product. The following should not be It is 1/5".
