MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp Pro

I've read both positive and negative reviews of these clamps, but they really do work for me. Simply by cutting a dovetail slot in a board, they can be used in a variety of ways. Vertical fence? Easy. Instead of just holding things in place, I cut slots in the 2x4s on the tops of my sawhorses, allowing me to quickly clamp just about anything down. br>br>The price, which I believe is about twice as high as it should be, is my only real criticism.

The 14 degree dovetail 'tracks' and clamps are both appealing to me. There's not much you can't do with this kit and 4 or 5 total clamps when it comes to building jigs, and you can do it quickly. In less than 30 minutes, I made a simple taper/true edge jig, cut all the necessary tracks, and used it to trim some rough edges and create a true edge (or as true as my Incra fence can provide). The jig, like the wood, was made for my son. My next project is a 42" x 60" assembly table with 3/4" dog holes evenly spaced in both directions and Match Fit tracks in both directions. T-shirts are significantly less expensive. There are many plans in the works for these Match Fit parts, including one that is on the track and equally as effective. AN AMAZING PRODUCT!.

These clamps are amazing because they are so adaptable. For instance, you can make a super effective tapering jig in a couple of minutes that will handle 99% of needs for angled% br>br>These appear to be costly, but I use them on a regular basis.

I just took them out of the box to see what they were like. They were a tad smaller than I expected. Definitely of high caliber. For them, I'm going to make some jigs and a table. I'll save a lot of money with these because I won't have to buy t-shirts anymore. There may be a need to purchase hold downs and specific vises. I'm excited to see how good these are in real life.

I have four routers, but none of them could handle that bit's massive shank. I'm returning everything and replacing it with the kit that doesn't include the router bit. I had a bit that would do the job (though it wasn't as slick as this one). The product, aside from that, is fantastic.

I had originally planned on using T-clamps, but they weren't available. Instead of waiting to buy new t tracks, this was a much better option because it does the same job and can easily be converted for new uses on the fly (route new line and use clamps). It also appears to be more appealing to me. If you watch the Matchfit videos, you'll be persuaded as well.

This system is fantastic. I've done a lot of research and watched a lot of videos on the internet. This system has a lot of flexibility, which I like.
