Are you irritated by Kreg's decision to move production to China as well?

That move did indeed lose me. Keep an eye on how many Kreg knockoffs appear on the market now. br>Each time a company does this, the Chinese steal their technology and quickly flood the market with garbage.

Is it possible to remove the storage containers?

Yes, they can be removed. After I've finished using it, I disassemble it and store it in the original box.

Is it possible to use k4 drill guides with the 720 pro?

Unfortunately, the Kreg K4 drill guides will not work with the Kreg Jig 720 Pro.

Is it possible to use a two-by-four in this jig?

The maximum thickness of material that can be used in the Jig is one inch. 1/2".

That's an excellent suggestion
3/5

The quality is in doubt. The jig appears to have been well-planned. There were a couple of quality issues that irritated me and caused me to return the jig. For starters, the pocket screw driver bits have a tendency to strip them. I switched to a non-Kreg square bit and had no problems driving the screws through the material. br>br>There's also the problem of my jig's Hole 1 not being finished; There is no metal sleeve and the bottom plastic is still intact. As a result, I'll have to reposition my material in order to space out the holes. br>br>Given the jig's high price, I expected it to be of higher quality. I was let down.

There are far too many flaws here
3/5

Please wait until the second. Version 0 is available. I was overjoyed to receive the email informing me that this item was now available, and I placed an order right away. I've been a Kreg user for a long time and have used/owned nearly every product they offer; the concept is great, and I was looking forward to the auto adjust feature at first. What I don't like about the final product is the build quality and subsequent quality control. It is advertised to work with 1 1/2" lumber, but when clamping down, I noticed a large gap, which caused the angle to be off, and the drill bit to drill through the top of the drill guides. When it comes to drill guides, Kreg replaced the aluminum ones with plastic, which, after finding black flecks of plastic in my saw dust, makes me doubt the piece's longevity. The hinges on the wings are the next problem I've encountered. They're made of very thin plastic and can easily come loose while being carried from one location to another. The clips that hold the wings in place are flimsy and easily pop off. Overall, what had the potential to be fantastic fell far short. I'll hold off until they fix it and release a version 2. 0 model.

The bit stop is of poor quality, but it's simple to use
4/5

Overall, this saves a lot of time during initial setup and allows for a wide range of board thicknesses without requiring significant clamp changes. It's simple to operate and does a decent job in general. br>br>The clamp that secures the unit to the table isn't as strong as I'd like, and it's practically useless when switching to the horizontal long board drilling position because the clamp doesn't support the back. br>br>Within 30 pocket holes, the drill stop has screwed itself higher on the bit, and I'm unable to remove it. I don't use a lot of force and instead let the drill bit do the work, so I'm not sure how it managed to do this. I have two older Kreg pocket hole sets, and neither of them has had this problem.

To Work Efficiently, A Complete System Is Required
5/5

I began with the Kreg jig mini a few years ago, and then upgraded to the Kreg pocket hole jig 320 last year. She shed doors that would have taken me 60 minutes or 320 minutes with the mini or 320 minutes with the 720 pro in only 10 minutes. If you’re planning on more“lesser” jointing work and can afford it, invest in the 720 pro and skip all“lesser” models. This is the whole package. When not in use, it folds up for storage, ensuring that no pieces are misplaced. The only criticism I have is that the front clamp does not provide adequate security, and the entire unit pivots left and right regardless of the amount of tension applied.

Purchase the pro version only if you absolutely have to! I paid for the Pro version, and it was a waste of money! I don't think it's a good idea to buy it
3/5

The wings are nothing more than a collection of low-cost plastic boxes. I couldn't get the wings to stay in place at first (I was in a hurry to complete a project), so I substituted scrap 2X4s. It was a breeze to make the pocket-sized version. holes. The wings are nothing more than pencil boxes attached to the body. I'm starting to realize that I don't require them. The jig makes a rather loud high-pitched noise when it is in use. I had to wear hearing protection because of the high-pitched noise. Although it was not unexpected, I felt compelled to mention it. A clamp on the jig adjusts the unit to the proper wood thickness automatically. Only the drill bit setting needs to be adjusted manually. In addition, you can use the square-shaped template that comes with the kit. Using a corded screwdriver is preferable to using a regular screwdriver.

Overall, the quality is excellent, and the design is appealing
5/5

For many years, I've relied on the older generation jig. I prefer this unit to the old for a number of reasons. The self-positioning clamp adjusts on the fly for any material thickness, and the rubber backing grips the work much better than the original. One of my issues with the previous unit was this. Switching between material thicknesses is much faster with the 720 unit. I thought the side attachments were a gimmick at first, but after using them, I think they're great for storing bits, collars, and wrenches, etc. I mounted the jig and side attachments to a piece of plywood so that everything stays together and I don't have to clamp it to the table when I'm done. Why isn't there a mark on the bit depth collar setting fixture for 3/4" material is something I'm still perplexed about. The fixture is a great idea because it allows you to set the bit in place and align the bit stop collar with different material marks. There are marks for 5/8" and 1", but none for 3/4", which is the most common material thickness. What did the designers have in mind when they created the design? It wasn't a huge deal because I ended up making my own marks. Overall, I think the jig is great and would recommend it to others.

Pocket holes do have a place in the world! What do I think of Kreg's latest endeavor? It's an attempt to provide a user-friendly method for creating these useful screw-accepting holes for hobby woodworkers
5/5

It adjusts well to different wood thicknesses on its own. I've used it successfully and it's now my go-to method for quickly joining two pieces. I use the wings, and I find that the scale molded into the top of the wings helps me position my pocket holes without having to measure. For woodworkers, it's an unavoidable evil! Many people cannot afford it, but a pocket hole machine from a reputable manufacturer can cost thousands of dollars. With this tool, you'll be able to make pocket holes that are only limited by your imagination. Because it is so well built, the tool is unlikely to cause you any issues. Clearly, kreg has a responsibility to make the 720 series jig their flagship jig. It's the jig that will eventually find its way into everyone's repertoire.
