You're going to need a backup
5/5

It was exactly what I was looking for. Murphy's Law states that whenever you're drilling something (such as pocket holes), Murphy is free to try and break off the end of the bit while you're drilling. So, take heed, all you do-it-yourselfers: the cost of a spare bit is insignificant when compared to the cost of explaining to your child, or someone else, that the project is on hold while you drop everything and rush out to find and purchase another bit, while Murphy sits in your workshop, laughing at you and planning what other problems he can cause you.

For not much more money, you get a better quality than the knockoffs
4/5

My first Kreg bit, which was only a few years old at the time, broke the tip off while drilling a Kreg pocket hole. I had already bought a knockoff "just in case," so I used it for the week or so it took Amazon to deliver the new Kreg bit. The knockoff worked reasonably well, but when the replacement Kreg bit arrived, it was returned to storage. The Kreg bit is a lot sharper and makes a much cleaner hole. Having a "Plan B" is always beneficial.

They do a good job, but after a while, they become dull and break
3/5

I had to order a few at a time because I've found that when they start to dull a little, they tend to break. br>I'm working on a hardwood project and don't want to get halfway through and have one of the boards break, forcing me to wait for a replacement. br>I'd prefer if they could make a more durable drill that didn't wear out as quickly, but that would mean fewer replacement drills would be sold, so I don't expect that to happen.

Bit to be replaced I prefer the newer bits with the 1/4" hex drive, as I discovered when sending bits in for regrinding the last time
5/5

I know singles aren't cheap, so when one of these gets old, I'll send in four and be good for a few years. Will Kreg sharpen the older bits with the 1/4" hex drive while they're in?.

It's fantastic
5/5

This is a perfect match for my boring bit. It was a brilliant idea to use a hex shank.

A BACK-UP DRILL BIT SHOULD ALWAYS BE ON HAND
5/5

It's critical to have a spare drill bit on hand. If the first one slips from your grasp, the smaller tip is likely to break off, rendering the drill bit useless. It's always a good idea to have a backup plan in place if you want to keep working.

It works
5/5

It's a good bit, but it's a little pricey. However, it is effective.

It is easily broken! In my woodshop, I use these Kreg bits on a daily basis
3/5

Due to the tip breaking, they must be replaced on a regular basis. Given the price, it appears that they would be a little more sturdy!.
