Questions & Answers

Will this work with a Miter Gauge from Incra?

Yes, the Kreg Swing Stop fits into the T slot on the fence of the miter gauge. The T slot, on the other hand, is on the front of the fence, and the Swing Stop is intended to be attached to a T slot at the top. As a result, the stop's foot is several inches away from the fence on the saw's table top. If you're using the Swing Stop as a "stop," this shouldn't be an issue if the board you're cutting is at least 3 inches (and preferably 3 1/4") wide.

Would this work with any miter fence, as I have one from China that is great for two-thirds of the way in and only has a plastic stop block?

We haven't tried it with any other brands, so we can't say whether it will work with them or not.

Is this stop compatible with the Band Saw Fence extrusion?

The Kreg Standard Swing Stop is compatible with the Kreg Bandsaw Fence's fence.

Is it possible to use this with a DeWalt 7485 table saw rip fence?

We've only tried it on our Fence, so we can't say whether it'll work.

Although I am a big fan of Kreg fences, this one was clearly designed by
3/5

I love Kreg fences, but this was clearly designed by someone who had never tried it out. There is a minimum of 1/32 - Part lengths are inaccurate due to a 1/16" slop in the fence.

It will be well worth your time and effort
5/5

Due to their high prices, I've never been a fan of Kreg products. However, I now have about 5 Kreg items in my collection. I thought the price of this item was far too high at 32 dollars. I was perplexed as to why this would be so expensive. Until it came in the mail, that is. "Oh, that's why it's 32 bucks," you'll think once you open the package. " I received a fair return on my investment. I ordered the track as well and had the same thoughts about the price, but this time it was different. aarrrrg. You receive a fair return on your investment. I have no intention of making this a habit, but the Kreg clamps I bought are well worth the high price.

This was purchased to be used on a table saw sled, but it is too short
3/5

The fence, however, is only about 2 feet tall. This will only work if you are at least 5" tall. My saw blade, of course, can reach higher and would cut the T-shape. The sled (and thus the track) are cut in half. So, this isn't going to work because my fence is too high. I'll try to fit it on my miter saw table, but in the end, it's too short (and expensive). I wish I could return it now. br>br>.

It's a little too short to be useful, but it'll do for now
3/5

I tried it on my crosscutting Jig, but the arm is too short to make it work. It's only ho 2 12", so add the rail and you'll need a backstop of around 2". That isn't a large sum of money. I'll just use a clamp instead, which makes me a little sad.

Suitable for a variety of uses
4/5

This is a good table saw sled attachment, but nothing ever goes according to plan. I used a 3 to make my sled. I built a 5-inch fence to allow me to cut thicker stock. When mounted on my Kreg top track, the swing stop is about an inch above the sled's base, which is too high for 3/4-inch stock to work properly. To lower the stop, I'll need to add some more material. It's not a major issue, but it's a pain.

Kreg- Stop flipping the switch
4/5

I recently constructed a Miter saw station and installed a Kreg track at the top of my fence. Both the flipstop and the stop block work well as a stop block, so I put them on the left side (my most frequently used side) and the right side (my least frequently used side). It's incredibly simple to use with the tape measure to alleviate your measuring woes. The cursor, however, is offset by 1/4" by the flip stop. While the cursor has a 3/8" offset, the stop block has a 3/8" offset? Why? They ought to be identical. br>br>So I had to install the flipstop tape measure to the left of the blade and the stop block tape measure to the right. Now that I think about it, I should have returned the stop block and installed flipstops on both sides, but whatever. br>br>The stopblock has a few other flaws (I'd give it a 2), such as the cursors, which are plastic pieces that fit into slots on each side of the block. Because it is a straight slot with no stop, you must be careful when installing the plastic pieces to ensure that they have 3/8" out on each side; the flip stop has an end of the channel that prevents it from being installed with any offset other than 1/4".

as a result, it is ineffective; This is something I would not recommend to anyone
3/5

This article has severed me from it, ostensibly for continuous precise cuts, but it does not stay in one place. When approaching the pieces, a cut like this causes a 4mm displacement, so it's pointless; I would not advise anyone to purchase this item.

It's not worth the trouble
3/5

The stop is excellent in and of itself. The issue is one of precision and stability. You can't tighten this stop block down far enough to eliminate side-to-side deflection, but I like the flip-up feature. I eventually had to return mine because it was no longer usable.
