Is this product made in what country?

Located in Huxley, Iowa, Kreg tool company designs workpieces for aircraft mounting systems. There is a box on the product that says, "made in the USA with imported materials". A large number of materials used in this global economy are imported from the United States and other nations. Made in the US, the item is sold online. *br>By the way, I think this is a fantastic tool, too! In my spare time, I create my own outdoor furniture as a novice wood worker. With this tool, the furniture I have made looks so much better than both the pieces I have made before and those I have made without In my opinion, this is an excellent

What is the correct way to position a long piece of wood in the clamp, such as a Short pieces appear to be able to stand up in the jig, but would a long board crumble?

In my workbench I built in my own shed, my roof is only about six feet above my bench's surface, so when the drill press is clamped to the bench, I can only drill a board about two feet long. 2x4 should be held with the hand that isn't drilling, although it might be best to hold it with the other hand. But why should you It would be too complicated. Why not just remove the central part of the jig and clamp it to your board (horizontal)?

A jig will be needed for a A 4(x) square. (10' x 10'). -) wood post. i realize this wouldn't work, but is there one you can suggest that does? I would appreciate any help you can provide! ?

What you can buy to make your woodworking projects better
5/5

You're going to find out what's really going on here. The years I have spent practicing and perfecting my joinery stretch more than I care to recall. As far as I can tell, these guys (Kreg) came up with this plastic gadget my skill at attaching table legs is not up to par with yours however. Just had to try this dumb gadget out (to myself) just to prove what I had heard. It is inconceivable that my expertise could match mine. ". I bought the junior model ($40) so I would not feel guilty when I throw it into my "Forgotten Tool Box" at the end of the year. I figured I would at least continue using the clamp and step drill in other situations. I tried a few times and then bought some blue plastic chips and I discovered I had been right. Waste of time! I did see some very nice symmetry in the joins, though. This is a strong one. It has now taken me two 500 pcs to go through. There are more boxes of Kreg shouldered screws on my workbench, and my furniture projects are progressing. The more expensive set isn't for me, but I do not particularly like eating crow. I appreciate your kind words, Kreg. Those of you who hate me, I hate you.

Quite an accomplishment for a furniture maker making it for the first time
5/5

There is no point in over-explaining I can't imagine a better way to use this. It was my first project of my own design and creation. I'm a lady in my fifties. dear, sweet hubby was available to answer questions, but I built it 2) I'm only happier that I purchased This clamp allows switching out boards at lightning speed and holds them in place tightly. Shroud that catches dust/vacuum was one of my favorite features. My work area was not only neater, but it was significantly easier to drill thick boards without getting clogged up with dust. Assembling my project went fast, due to those pocket holes and the magnet in the driver bit holding the screws right where they were supposed to go. There's an awesome video titled "Drilling Your First Pocket Hole" on YouTube that shows how to use this Kreg system. You should definitely check it out if you're thinking of buying it. Does a better job, doing it on a lower budget Providing clear explanations about how the jig works is more important than doing it for the manufacturer. Among the video's testimonials are many that are happy with it, but Ana White shows the user how to make use of The feeling I had after doing so was that I could pull it off! Attached is a picture of my sink vanity that is free of stains. floor isn't yet redone, nor are the baseboards. As soon as I finished writing this review, I could not wait to publish it!.

This tool should be used when building cabinets or shelves
5/5

Renovation has been my profession for 20 years, and I have always built shelving using routed joints I have found this Kreg jig to be an excellent time saver-- and it makes replicating objects simple. For instance, you may need four cabinets that are the same size. As a huge fan, I must say Joinery is made simple with this tool. A great clamp that I highly recommend is the Kreg clamp The thickness of the blade is automatically adjusted This is another tool that you must own!.

There is a problem with the drill bit
3/5

It is a very good product and not the first one I have used before. Unfortunately, the quality assurance is subpar, which is why it is rated two stars. I am having difficulty straightening the drill bit after it comes out of the paper sleeve. This crooked hex part, coupled with its wobbly nature, makes it impossible to use. Fortunately, Amazon's (see attached image) one-day replacement policy saved me time, only delayed the operation for one.

A pleasant surprise when it comes to ease of A tool of this type is something I would like to have in my In order for me to build some stuff for her, this was one of the main tools I had to use
4/5

It is important that you consider where you will use this before you buy You are drilling a board During my project, I had to drill two 75-inch 2x4s, which meant I had to be outdoors in order to maneuver the boards easily. This also meant I had to move my mounting location. Compared to other photos, you can see that it takes up very little space in my photo. There are almost too many things I'm using for my project for me to notice it. What do you need? The possibility exists to use this without one, but I cannot really see why. There is not much point in using the Kreg My clamp was a long bar, and it worked well, BUT the bar placed a slight obstruction in my path. It is also recommended you get a This will be a great way to hold your puzzle pieces together. Having a second pair of hands is like having a second set of You need to take into consideration the joint and the strength of the building you are creating. While this is a great thing, it is not the end I wish you all the best It consists of all If you want to choose a pocket hole, just be safe and choose a dowel joint if perhaps a pocket hole is not the most sturdy. Etc.

Check that the metal in your jig is free from There were a LOT of metal chips and shavings under my surface, as well as overmoulded blobs. A pass of the drill bit cleared all of it up, but we could have stepped on metal shavings if I wasn't cautious - and the cars' tires or kids' bare feet would have been tracked into the house. My overall experience with my purchase has been positive.

K4 pocket hole jig by Kreg
5/5

One of the best tools I own is the Kreg K4 Pocket Hole Jig. This was used to build a workbench from 2x4 construction studs while only using pocket holes for joining. To make this bench an incredibly strong and sturdy work table, no glue was required. Two 2'x4' pieces of 3/4 inch plywood and four 2"x4"x8' studs were all that was necessary to finish the project. Approximately $35 was spent on the entire transaction. Building the bench was easy since the instructions on the Kreg video were clear. As seen in the video, it came out just as you would expect. The great workbench was constructed in just two mornings by cutting, drilling and assembling. Those who want to construct good, strong furniture in a reasonably short period of time and with a minimum of expense may want to consider the Kreg Pocket Hole System.

The construction of furniture has taken on an entirely new dimension! Having this system has opened up a whole world of possibilities for me when it comes to furniture making
5/5

Having no funds to spend on a full-day trip would be a waste of time I have a fairly large workshop, and this system provides endless benefits for me in terms of joinery. I want cabinets and a media console for my living room as well as cabinetry for my stealth camper van.

The system is great, but the bit is cheap and weak
3/5

The system is excellent. My experience with this product has been quite positive. I have used it on a few projects now and have been very satisfied. However, it was disappointing that it was so cheap. Despite the fact that it was broken, a replacement also fell apart. Despite my very careful drilling, the tip seems very fragile. I would suggest buying an extra bit in case anything goes wrong. The bit strength needs to be improved by Kreg!.
