Precisely measure the distance between the holes in the cabinet handle. To make sure the first one is accurate, test the handle and screws. Because of the guide bar on the tool, leveling was a breeze. It's well-made and sturdy, and the tightening screws never loosened or moved. Because it adjusts for the long handles we installed, this worked out perfectly for us. The cheaper tool templates aren't long enough to handle 160mm, but this one fit the bill perfectly! There are more than 60 doors and drawers in this cabinet. The only way to go is with a guide, and I'm confident I won't make any mistakes this time. After reading numerous reviews, I decided on a model that was primarily made of metal rather than plastic. With a small tap of a drill bit, I carefully mark the holes before removing the guide and drilling all the way through. That way, I won't eat the holes in the guide before I'm done with it. It's a small price to pay for the accuracy required to evenly install the handles. My advice is to take it slowly and check the guide frequently to ensure that no screws have come loose or that no pieces have shifted.

It performs as expected. I recently completed a complete home renovation. This was used to install hardware in two bathrooms and a full kitchen. It was precisely what I required. Each handle is straight and uniform in appearance. Because I was working with a variety of cabinet and drawer sizes, I had to make adjustments as I went along. Just keep an eye on things and make sure the thumbscrews stay tight as you go (I used pliers to tighten them). The tool's pilot holes are thick enough that your drill bit will go straight through them, which makes it much easier to install the hardware.
