On the back pack blower, I tested a 6ah battery and found that it lasted 25 minutes on low and 13 minutes on turbo. If you get the 6ah battery that powers the lawn mower, you'll get that long run time, and I tested the 5ah battery and it lasted 18 minutes on low and 10 minutes on turbo.
It's possible, I believe. Our string trimmer is equipped with it.
The OP40602 is a physically larger battery that boasts a 2X increase in power. That doesn't make sense because both batteries are 6ah, which means that if you draw 1 amp for 6 hours, the battery will last 6 hours; the OP40602 should be 12ah in that case.

The longer battery life is essential; one reviewer suggested that the 4ah was preferable and that the 6ah would cause the lawnmower's motor to run slower (resulting in longer battery life)- NOT TRUE. This 6ah battery has no effect on the motor's performance. I use this battery for my lawnmower, and I keep the 5ah battery that came with it as a backup in case I need it. So far, the 6ah has allowed me to mow the entire lawn. The second battery can be used with other Ryobi electric tools. If you're looking for a way to extend the life of your batteries, get it. If you're looking for a backup battery, this is the place to go. get it. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.
The company selling this battery is not a Ryobi Authorized Reseller and is located behind this storefront. As a result, Ryobi will not provide a warranty if the battery fails. About seven months after purchase, the battery I bought failed.
We have no idea how long it will last. It has a longer battery life than the 5 hour battery, which has a longer battery life than the 4 hour battery, which has a longer battery life than the 3 hour battery. (I'm not sure how long that one will last after the first two. ) Battery life is 6 hours. ) I have a weed eater, an edger, a chain saw, a garden tiller, and a blower for the lawn mower and expander system. A 6 hour battery, for example, only lasts about 1 hour. After mowing the lawn for 25 hours, I can charge the battery for 5 hours and mow the lawn in the next yard. Usually, the two are combined. I can use the weed eater on both properties with the 6 and 3 hour batteries combined. We haven't run out of power while tilling (our two gardens are each less than 300 sq. ft. ). ft. each). I have two chargers, and I'm happy to report that I've completed a lot of yard work in just six hours. With all of the tools and batteries, I can now work for 8 hours physically.
What I didn't like about them was how short their lifespan was. And I don't just mean in the sense of being excessive. All battery life, but how they lose performance power over time. And some have a much longer shelf life than others. As a result, it's a resounding success. You'll be disappointed with what you get if you don't pay attention. And, of course, NO! Even if the higher-rated, longer-lasting batteries worked, I didn't think they were worth the additional cost.
Yes! They did have a higher sustained power output, but not enough, in my opinion, to justify the extra cost. br>Having said that, all of my Ryobi products perform admirably. We have a wide range of Ryobi products, including screw guns, weed whackers, edgers, and blowers. They last long enough to be worth the money. br>For me, that means that if any Ryobi product lasts longer than 5 years, it was a good investment. br>Anything that has lasted more than 5 years is a testament to its quality and value. br>How come they're so expensive? Because they make getting things done simple and convenient! br>I've read a lot of the reviews and complaints about the batteries and other Ryobi products, and I can't say that I disagree with them all. Let's face it, many modern products have manufacturing and design flaws. br>Of course, we're not blind to designed flaws and engineered life; it's just the way things are these days. br>What I'll say is that the batteries and products, in general, are still worth the money.
I had to order a second battery for my Ryobi lawnmower because with only one battery, I could only mow the front yard and half of the back yard before having to recharge the battery, which I would often forget to do, resulting in my back yard never being finished. This second battery is a perfect fit for the lawnmower, and now I can mow the lawn in one day instead of a few hours later, which I never did anyway, and my yard will be completely mowed and looking good instead of half-finished. It also arrived a week ahead of schedule. The seller did an excellent job with delivery.
It was a struggle to purchase this. It's a pricey battery, to be sure. On the other hand, I can mow my entire large yard on a single battery charge. That leaves my other Ryobi batteries, which are lower in power, available for use in the weed trimmer.
My electric lawn mower is powered by a battery. I've had the original one (same type and brand) for about 2 years and it still works, but it only lasts about 2/3 as long as it did when it was new, so I purchased a backup. The two batteries are adequate for mowing the lawn once a week, and they are still less expensive and environmentally friendly than gasoline and oil, as well as a conventional gas-burning engine.
This Ryobi 6 Ah battery is a significant upgrade over the 5 Ah battery that came with my lawnmower when I bought it in 2019. It appears to be more powerful than the 5 Ah battery and lasts longer. There are no surprises here, but it's a lot less expensive than the Ryobi 4 Ah or 5 Ah batteries at big box stores. When the grass is wet or has grown too long, the additional power and run time come in handy. Now I have enough battery power to complete my yard work without stopping to recharge the batteries.
