I had purchased a headlight reconditioning kit, but my headlights were in such bad shape that I used up all of the 500 grit sanding disks on the first headlight and didn't even finish it. This kit provided me with exactly what I needed in terms of disks. It has some more aggressive grits that I was able to use on my headlights to get the job done quickly. If you buy this kit and follow the reconditioning kit's instructions, you should have good results. In my case, the coarsest 500 grit from the reconditioning kit was not aggressive enough, and it took a long time to sand down the headlight evenly with the 500 grit. I started with the coarser 320 grit in this kit, then went through 500, 800, 1000, and 3000 grits, finishing with a foam pad and Meguiars Plastx plastic polish, followed by a final coat of car wax. The lens on the headlight is now completely clear.
I bought these to clean some oxidized headlights because they were a better deal than the kit, which only came with two. Each has three of them. Now I'm stocked up on spare parts for my other vehicles. All you need now is a plastic cleaner or some kind of restorer product, and you're good to go.
These are extremely effective and difficult (if not impossible) to come by in local stores. Excellent value for money, with enough variety to handle any sanding project. I'll buy more when I run out, but it'll be a while.
Very good fit for my toolbr>90-degree grinderbr> It was also reasonably priced. In the big-box stores, they're a lot more expensive.
You get a lot of bang for your buck. The quality of the sandpaper is outstanding. I'm worried that the sponge velcro backing pads will wear out, but I'm putting a lot of effort into them.
Because they won't stay stuck to a sanding pad for more than 45 seconds, I can't comment on the sandpaper's durability. I switched back to Mirka sandpaper and had no trouble staying on the same pad this time. These were thrown away.
A shaft was missing from the mounting pad, preventing it from being used in a drill or hand piece.
This is a good product, especially for the price; you can get it for $10. 00 for a head, which includes a large selection of 2" sanding disks. I've placed multiple orders for them.
