When a lower amount of pressure is needed, this is the tool to use.
If you want something that won't deform too much under pressure, I recommend getting the thinner version.
Pad started out well, but the hook and loop has lost its ability to hook the loop. To put it another way, the pad must be on the surface before the machine can run. However, this only lasts for a short time before you have to restart the tool.
During use, cleaning/washing, and in between applications, this pad should be handled with great care. The durability isn't so great. Mine has been in my possession for a year and a half. It's only been 5 months and it's already starting to degrade. affixing to both sides I won't be buying from them again; I'm looking for a more reliable, heavy-duty alternative.
The adhesive that held the foam to the Velcro literally melted when I used my radial buffer at 5 speed instead of 6. After that, I was separated from my car, which scratched it. It was the very first time it had been put to use! This is what I would expect from a $5 product, but come on.
When it came to sanding, it made a huge difference. Working two fingers between the disk and the pad, rather than tearing it off, is recommended.
It's quite effective.
