Yes, it can be used in a drill. Because the disks fasten differently in an angle grinder, I don't believe it would work. The roloc pad shaft is inserted into a drill just like a drill bit, and the roloc disc is then twisted onto the roloc Pad. If you buy the roloc Pad, you'll also need the roloc discs. There are a variety of grits to choose from. I hope that this information has been beneficial.
A 1/4-inch hole is built into the roloc pad. The pad has 20 threads; if the polisher does not have a male threaded arbor, it will not work; if adapters are available, please contact your tool manufacturer.

On Amazon, there was a brand of Roloc holder that was junk- The brush's end wasn't flat, and it wobbled so badly that it couldn't be used at all. This listing is for a genuine 3M holder that works flawlessly. Depending on which tool you use it with, there are two mounting options. If you want to avoid the off-season, this is the one to go with. brands!.
This is the adapter you'll need to hold those 2 inch diameter 3M Roloc discs in your angle die grinder if you have one. This is a straightforward, well-thought-out design. fabricated, over- 3 million dollars, correct? All 1/4-inch angle die grinders can use this adapter. It does a fantastic job of holding 3M Roloc discs with a diameter of 2 inches. Easy on. Easy off. It's not too stiff, but it's stiff enough. This is a tough workhorse system that can withstand hours of continuous use. The 3M Roloc discs are the way to go, and this adapter will get you there with those spin on/off Roloc discs. It is only necessary to purchase it once. Thousands of times is a good rule of thumb. Stay in good health.
Amazon took care of me, but mine was missing some of the components shown in the picture and was also broken - The rubber disk spins in the center.
To see which types/sizes of Roloc discs/pads I preferred, I bought a pack of them. The backing pad was beginning to disintegrate after testing out the various pads that came with that set. I went ahead and purchased the 3M "real deal," and it is far superior. It's designed to have more give than the Crapsman and has better tolerances. It also appears to be a denser rubber. It's exactly what I should have bought the first time around. br>br>Bite the bullet and get this one instead of the knockoffs. It'll pay for itself in no time.
I've got a couple of roll lock 2's in my collection. This is the best disc pad holder yet. It spins perfectly and is well-made, so it should last a long time. This one is better than my other coworkers'. It's more expensive, but I'm glad to have at least one good one. When grinding or polishing, you appreciate how smoothly it spins and does not bounce like other grinders.
I gave it four stars because I bought it because it's made by 3M and has a 25K RPM rating; however, the dual purpose adapter that allows it to be used on disc grinders is a flaw. As a result, the shaft head assembly is heavier than most Roc Loc holders, resulting in excessive vibration. When I run my ACDelco cordless right angle grinder at its maximum speed of 16000 RPM, I notice a lot of vibration, which is tough on the bearings and causes the tool to overheat. As a result, I decided to go with the Neiko holder, which has a much simpler design and should have better runout, e. g. , fewer out-of-round metal parts, and reduced vibration.
These discs are ideal for preparing the surfaces of gaskets made of harder materials. They can also be used to clean old grease and rust from brake caliper pens, as well as any other medium-duty cleaning situation.
It is unquestionably worthwhile to spend a little more.
