I used it to set the pinion preload in my axle and from what I've read, getting that right can ensure the rear end will last for a long time. This is a bit difficult to read on the smaller scale and the memory needle seems to hit the pointer needle, so the reading is a bit higher than it should be. In spite of that, it is a very well-done and presented tool. I was a little disappointed to find that after I requested for the item to be properly packaged, they sent it to me in a paper grocery bag from USA to NZ. There can be no way to say how many times it has been thrown around during its journey. This is why the rating is 3 stars. We are buying precision tools. Let's not sabotage ourselves.

With a dial gauge type tachometer, this torque wrench is of incredible quality, has a clear readout, and I really enjoy its simplicity.
