In this situation, the wrench didn't "click" and acted like a breaker bar instead. As the foot pounds were lowered to 50, there was still no "click". I am extremely disappointed in the tool. Since I could not use it right away after delivery, the return window is closed and I'm stuck with it.
Torque wrenches of this quality are highly sought after. There still seems to be that old craftman quality to it. When tested, the scale was accurate to within two pounds when built well and has a sturdy design. You will hear a distinct click when you've reached the desired torque. There is only one negative factor for me, and that is that setting and resetting the controls can be complicated.
