Questions & Answers

Take a picture. What did you mean by "on", is that the socket snaps on? Like it's not a Snap on ?

Quite hard to tell. My guess is that the product is a Snap On product. The instruction booklet indicates that it is "A Snap On Specialty Tool Product.". If you want to release the socket on the back of the head, you must press the button on the back of the head.

Is this wrench manufactured in a particular location?

As stated on the wrench itself, it is made in the United States. The parts are from the U.S. and abroad.

Are there any current calibration certificates included with this model?

As far as I know, this item has all the necessary certifications.

Here is a Ford mechanic
3/5

The weekend mechanic would do well with a torque wrench that can apply 150 ft lbs. Most jobs don't require more than 150 ft lbs, unless you're replacing axles, working on the drivetrain or trying to work on the internal engine or transmission. Nonetheless, it shouldn't hurt to have the larger capacity wrench just in case you'd like to tackle a larger job in the future.

That's a bad thing
3/5

There was nothing good about this thing. To store torque wrenches at their lowest torque setting, you need to position the wrench at the lowest setting. However, the wrench at that setting is TOO LONG to fit into the case. Furthermore, there are several other points to be considered I've been surrounded by plastic so much. There is a snap-comet riding the Snap-comet Make plans for affiliation, but do not follow through. You can also grab this SK Proto if you pay $20 more The case is made in the USA, is metal, and carries a certificate of certification.

I was unable to make it This morning, I used it for the first time to apply torque to the four bolts that hold the front sprocket cover to In the process of reassembling, I attempted to torque them with this new torque wrench, but it would not release or click or indicate in any way that 9 Nm had been reached, It was clear that they had now been tightened much beyond what they had been using the same tool I had used to remove them in the first place
4/5

As I loosen them all and do it manually, I am sure they will be closer to specification as they were before I used the For return, I have already dropped it off at UPS. It is also worth mentioning that the wrench, when I received it, was loose in the plastic container, which was encased Despite being a new item, the wrench was quite dirty. Whether it would have worked or not is immaterial it is simply a device. Although I have no way to know for certain, when the power did not work, I wondered once more. In recognition of what this item is and what it offers, it is quite expensive. To have it not work is an insult.

It was incomplete, so Amazon replaced it
5/5

A lot of thought went into the construction of this watch, the fit and finish is some of the best I have seen, and it overall is quite well built. Next, I noticed that the head of the screw is missing a torx screw. No, it's not as much as a Snap On or Mac, but in this world of junk tools and junk parts, you would think that a $160 torque wrench from Snap On would at least have its This is a tool up your sleeve. Here's the update People are calling it a "whoops, we did it again". I replaced the device with one from Amazon, have been using it for a while and it seems to be working flawlessly.

An awesome deal, that's for sure
5/5

The CDI brand doesn't seem like a brand name to me. Such a great I don't know if CDI would look like a brand name, but it says right on the box "CDI, a Snap-on brand" "On brand"

I like the fit and finish of this tool. It feels like a quality product. In addition to the calibration sheet, the device came with an excellent set of instructions. If the calibration sheet is accurate, the machine is much more accurate than advertised. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a calibration sheet to verify its accuracy. My biggest concern with ordering this was that at one spot in the specifications, it listed the maximum torque as 250 inches per inch. A 250-ft-long chain is then attached to 50 lbs of weight The other weighs about 250 pounds. It's certainly needed for me to have a chance to go above 200 feet- As a result, I was a little nervous to find out what the outcome would be. It turns out that it goes as high as 250 feet - A few pounds or three thousand inches Thank you! As for the case, it's quite nice If I had a complaint, it would be that you cannot store the wrench at its lowest setting, as is required by the instructions. Since the inner dimensions of the case are a bit short, you have to screw in a handle that is about 60 ft-long In order for it to fit inside the case, it must weigh more than 10 pounds. A few seconds with a utility knife would probably be enough for me to get all the space I need.

This is excellent

Among the high quality tools in this category is this torque certified tool. The word bi- A directional statement. It can be fastened with a ratchet, but not tightened with it. The only thing to be secured. A maximum error of +/- 1% It is 0. 005%. To make sure your tests are up to load tolerance, you need to remember to go beyond that. When you are done with the In order to achieve the best results, it is vital to reset the torque setting There is a smooth and quiet adjustment tang. You can lock it easily and it will retain the settings. There will be no issues with the tool. Comparing settings from the low range all the way up to the peak settings, I found the comparisons to be accurate. It is almost impossible to make a mistake.
