Questions & Answers

Do you have any recommendations for lubricating this system?

Before using any of my air tools, I simply inject a few drops of air tool oil into the air intake. Oil can contaminate hoses used for spray painting or other purposes, as well as air lines used for air tools, so an automatic oiler on the supply air line is an alternative. As a result, auto oilers are only used on air lines that are specifically used for air tools. The Royal Household may find the following information useful.

What is the cause of smoothness? Is it possible for the user to manage the triggers? What degree of control do you have over the triggers? The on- My 3/8" Nitro Cat's off switch is almost identical to its on switch. I need something that I can easily and smoothly control in order to avoid stripping out smaller bolts with the power tool. I'm not concerned with the motor's intensity, even though it can be adjusted. ?

I use this gun on a daily basis as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic. You must be precise when pulling this gun in to feather the air flow; I usually only use it to loosen 3/8 bolts, not 1/4 bolts. Furthermore, I am not the type to fiddle with the power settings. Furthermore, our shop air pressure is 160 psi, so you should be fine. A 160 psi gun is unbeatable in terms of snappiness! However, in order to achieve it, some lives must be sacrificed.

On my Camry, it's critical to remove the axle nut, so I'll be using the Makita Mac5200, which has six blades. To drive this impact wrench at 90 psi, how much air is required?

Both answers are correct; this impact wrench is quite powerful, but it requires a certain amount of volume to maintain its power over time. You might be able to work out the "time" issue with the axle nut if you make time payments. I'm pleased with the impact I've made, which I've paired with a five. Because the 26 gallon tank can only hold 0 HP, I wish the pump had more capacity so that the duty cycle could be reduced under heavy use. If you use penetrating oil on the axle nut and a long lever (pipe extension over the breaker bar), you can break it free without using an impact wrench.

Is it possible to estimate how long these will take?

I've had no problems with this gun since starting work at Chevrolet in March 2014. It's now September 15, 2016, and it's been a long time since I've updated It's also much quieter than any snapon or ingersoll, and it's just as powerful for a fraction of the price. That is difficult to beat; you will not be disappointed if you purchase this firearm.

Performing well It would be beneficial to include more product information in the Owner's Manual and Amazon product description
5/5

Precision, durability, control, and power were all important features of the first pneumatic impact wrench I owned. With the Aircat 1150, it was easy to meet all four requirements. As an added bonus, the laptop is relatively light, quiet, comfortable, and compact. I almost didn't buy it because of the negative reviews on Amazon. There were only two possibilities left: either a large, bulky, custom-made item made-to-measure bag or a slim one-sized bag-sized bag-sized bag-sized bag way ticket A tool that can be controlled as opposed to one that can't. In the end, I was persuaded to change my mind on two issues. First and foremost, the manufacturer's explanation. The manufacturer claims that the setup instructions were not followed, which could explain the "1 star" Amazon reviews. Second, in a review of 1/2" drive impact wrenches published in an air tool magazine, the Aircat 1150 was named the best impact wrench in its class; could this be improved? In this manual, new users will find instructions on lubricating the machine with grease, determining the best hose length and type, and learning about Amazon would be able to provide more purchasing options than impact sockets. I've put together this list to help first-time buyers: An air tool oil of top quality Rubber air hose (3/8" diameter, less than 25 feet in length, made by Goodyear or Continental brands). With this 3/8" whip hose, you'll get a 1/4" swivel 1/4" threaded male connector. The air compressor should be able to deliver at least 8 CFM with this grease gun, which has a nipple tip for precision grease application. Other grease should be used instead of the grease gun if quality bearing or lithium grease (Lucas) is not available. Blaster Air Tool Conditioner will come in handy if the tool is used by people who aren't going to maintain it.

Thank you very much! I'm extremely pleased with myself

I've been using this CAT 1150 for about a week at the dealership where I work for a variety of tasks, including tire rotation and suspension work. The power is incredible, and it's a pleasure to use. Aircat is my second gun; I previously purchased a more expensive one and failed twice; a coworker recommended it to me, and I'm glad I did. After a month of use, I'll provide feedback. So far, I've had a fantastic time.

For the price, it's a steal; I work at an ATV dealership and have been using this gun almost every day for over a month

I can't say enough good things about this gun. The $50 impact I used when I first started there 8 years ago struggled even with overtightened lug nuts and wouldn't move other parts on the machine, forcing me to constantly borrow other guys' tool truck impacts and I've probably finally decided to upgrade to this gun, and although it isn't as powerful as others in the same class, it easily holds its own with all of them. Our machines don't have the massive bolts that a diesle mechanic would encounter, and they tend to be extremely rusted because they spend the majority of their lives in mud and water, but this gun doesn't slow down in the least. It will do so if it has to remove or break them. It's probably the most difficult thing I have to deal with on a daily basis, but this weapon makes quick work of it. Another mechanic's tool truck gun (the brand that starts with an 'S') tightened the castle nut that holds a clutch together that day. I discovered this a few days ago while dismantling a clutch (which had already been removed). When I pulled the trigger, sparks flew off the nut, causing it to break free from the nut almost instantly. I've found that even the lowest forward setting on this gun will get you close to the torque specs for the largest lug nuts we deal with - Those with a 3/4-inch diameter - without the need to use a hammer It is deceptively quiet, and anyone who has used their tool truck stuff would probably think it has no power at all, but I assure you that it does. It has been a very good experience so far, and I give it 5 stars because I have absolutely nothing to complain about, especially for the price. I will post an update if any major problems occur in the future. This is a book that I strongly suggest.

You must adhere to the setup in order to obtain maximum torque
4/5

It's not fun to remove the crankshaft bolt on my 1997 Toyota. To get 283 feet, you'll need to do the following: /lbs. The bolt was tightened with a certain amount of torque. It's pointless to loosen things with a Craftsman 1/2" impact gun that only produces 580 ft/lbs of reducing torque. Because there isn't enough room, I couldn't use a 3/4 driver. The only driver that fits is a 1/2 driver. No matter how much foam and blankets I use to cushion the bar, the fender is at risk of being dented when the friction is released. That's why I didn't want to use a 6' cheater pipe; the 1295 ft/lbs of loosening torque was the deciding factor in my decision to buy this gun. I began by connecting the aircat to my standard 50-foot air hose. I wasn't sure how much pressure I'd lose, but I decided to go ahead and try it. I kept the gun aimed at it for a while, but it remained motionless. Spray a little Maltby Penetrant on the threads to help lubricate them and remove rust. Three days later, I returned to the store, but it was still missing (*br). When you read the instructions, you'll notice the following important instructions. On the gun, but not on the gun itself, use a quick connector. To be safe, I bought a 6' 1/2" diameter hose, installed adapters so that one end would screw straight into the gun, and then attached the other end to the compressor with a 1/4" npt quick connection. According to a message board, you'll need about 1000 ft/lbs of torque to remove this bolt, and the regulator should be set at 150 PSI*br. I can definitely hear and feel the extra power now that I've switched to a new setup. The bolt remained in place when I first tried to move it. I had to try four times within the first minute to get the bolt off. *new paragraph*.
