This is what I bought. I bought a 1/4 and a 3/8 drive. The quality of both may not be marked with where they are made, but the stamp does not indicate where they are made. The price I paid made me expect they wouldn't last long, but I have been continually impressed with their durability.

Some of what I know about tools is in my experience. Not enough to be dangerous, but just enough to be troublesome. I have never been too bothered by tooth counts, but I understand that they are important. A 84 tooth high end ratchet I had previously thought was kind of a flop. There have been some inexpensive models I've seen that worked fine, but they were rare. I found one that has 72 teeth, which is plenty of space, and it's cheap, easy to use, and works pretty well. In addition to its length, I was attracted to it. There are times when having a bit of extra length on a 1/4" ratchet is nice without the need for an additional amount of torque on a 3/8" As far as I can tell, this guy does the job quite well. The action was smooth. Chrome finish that looks very good. I wanted it to be that long. Can't speak to longevity, but I would estimate that it should last about 10,000 years with the amount of use it gets. I love it. Yes, they are made in Taiwan. This is fine with me here because I have a particular need. There is no doubt in my mind that I will buy it again. In addition, I am kinda nutty about America first. Thanks for reading!.
My purpose for purchasing this was to get more leverage on hard to turn bolts as well as a There's quite a difference between the length and the handle. The handle is too thin and the build seems a little on the cheap side. The switch on the back is stiff and feels as though it might break. My field of expertise is in automotive repair, and I have over 40 years of experience using various tools.
A little 1/4" ratchet like this one is quite impressive. The drive I needed does not need to be heavy duty, it is only 1/4", but it needs to be capable of allowing me to work in relatively tight spaces and make adjustments of finer specifications where a lot of torque is needed. Despite being a tool, the drive stands out in its style and is well finished. I can't even imagine it! There was no noticeable increase in cost and the ratchet action is positive and has fine and close-to-the-line performance. The handle has been designed to have as many "clicks" as possible to allow for maximum movement for every back and forth movement, so you do not have to spend all day tightening or loosening the bolt. I like the extra length of the handle over the standard 6" length of ratchets this size and it just fits my needs. A very fine application where the user doesn't need a tremendous amount of torque is appropriate for this. This would definitely be a product I would purchase.

Ratchets like this one have proved to be very useful for transverse-mounted V6 engine tune-ups, as well as for replacing alternators, water pumps, and other cooling system parts. It's nice that the ratchet head has the flex head detent, which provides just the right amount of pressure to hold it in place. I find that the socket release feature also works extremely well for me as many of the vehicles I work on are rather dirty and covered in grease. My usual 1/2 drive ratchet for heavy suspension work is a 1/2 drive either, so I doubt I will use this ratchet for that type of work, but for everything else, I think it will be just right.

There is no noise from the ratchet mechanism. If I break loose the big bolts there's no flex to be felt in the shaft. Though it is not locked with a switch, the swivel head is able to rotate into 13 positions and stay firm. There is no reverse switch, but a ratchet like the kind commonly found at craftsman shops. In addition, the handle is textured at the end to prevent slipping and has a curving convex end. There is no way to service the head, but I am not sure if that is the case. As compared to a brand such as Titan or Ezred, the head and pivot is slim and the neck is narrow. As far as I am aware, I have successfully applied at least 50 FtLb without damage. Expecting higher is probably not a good idea. The swivel head does not easily pinch the finger's end, as I have noticed with other swivel head types like the Husky.
