China is the place where the IRWIN 2078608 is made.

The tread that bites into the metal to unlock it gave way very easily.
Over the last year, I've become a big fan of Irwin hand tools. I work in a health-care facility as a Maintenance Tech. I have a Bucket Buddy with a selection of tools in my bag. The vast majority of them have changed their names to Irwin. This adjustable wrench has a great feel in your hand, doesn't bind up when tightened, and adjusts to the proper size with smooth action. I haven't had it round off a bolt while using it, but I don't use it very often. I'd go get a wrench set if a bolt was frozen. Overall, it's a fantastic addition to my "bucket list!".
Just stay inside while it adjusts smoothly. Worked as expected, but I forgot about it for a few days on the picnic table - Rust is a bummer, but huess stainless steel isn't advertised, but it's probably worth it (if not a lot more). Not mechanically inclined, but learning (light use for mower maintenance, etc. ) Way betteree than previous wrench and fits all sizes, so good value (even if it has to be kept out of the rain).
Jams. The adjusting screw and jaw alignment are sloppy, making it easy to jam the adjusting screw. It's sloppy in comparison to the worn-out one I was replacing it with. I'm not sure if this one wrench represents the entire product line or if I just got a bad one, but it's still not worth it at this price. I'll keep it in my vehicle's glove compartment and use it as an emergency tool.
When I buy things like this online, I never know what to expect. Since selling out to Walmart's overlords and starting to make low-cost secondary SKUs of everything, name brands no longer mean anything. However, in most ways, this was a vintage item. I can't imagine finding anything better for the price. br>br> It's big, strong, and has a lot of torque. Despite the fact that I didn't have a large enough bit, I was able to easily install some large lag screws into studs.
This was purchased as a trailside do-it-yourself project. Any tool capable of removing a 27mm axle nut should be used. It works flawlessly, but it'll never make it into my carry bag because it's far too heavy. There was no ding from the tool. The tenth, in fact. The estimated weight of 4 ounces is inaccurate. Normally, Amazon lists the weight of the entire package, but the wrench weighs 13 ounces on its own. It has a good amount of protein. br>br>However, I'm not too disappointed because it's the best medium-sized cresent I've ever had. The dial is extremely accurate and stays in place well.
For use in tight spaces, I needed a smaller adjustable wrench. This 8" Irwin wrench is the perfect size for such tasks. It is a high-end product. As with almost all Irwin tools, this wrench is handcrafted. The jaws are easy to open and close, and it's a pleasure to hold and use. This is an excellent value for money tool.
This is a high-quality product that is well worth your money.
