Questions & Answers

Will this work with square-head nut slack adjusters?

The 4651 is designed to work with a 5/16" square. I hope you find this information useful.

I bought some a while ago, but the wrenching one jumps all the time. Does it come with a warranty? Is that the case, and how do you go about doing it?

Please contact Customer Service at 262- 898- 5904, and he'll take care of everything.

Is it possible to apply them to non-meritorious systems?

Yes, they can be used on a variety of surfaces.

Is there a cover on the wrench, or are the gear teeth visible?

The top and sides of the gears are exposed. I work and live in the desert, so the gears get clogged with sand and grease. But it's still working fine after more than a year.

Thank you for saving me time
5/5

I'm so grateful to have these tools to help with slack adjuster removal and installation. Without this tool, you'd be tying up an entire hand (and there are only so many you can use at once) holding a screwdriver under that release tab, where before you'd be tying up a whole hand (and there are only so many you can use at once). The ratchet tool is equally lovely, though it could be designed better. Perhaps it could be made a little longer, or the number of ratcheting teeth increased. The biggest letdown was the inability to choose the ratcheting direction (clockwise vs. counterclockwise). (in the opposite direction of the rotation) - It can be difficult to turn the small switch on and off at times. Is that something that would make me dislike this collection? No. Without them, I'm not sure I'll ever use another slack adjuster. Despite the fact that I'd wanted them for years, I'd always been put off by the thought of paying $40 for them and hoped that one day I'd strike it rich and find them for $25. It did not occur!.

Product is good, price is reasonable, and the tool is very useful

For the past 30 years or so, I've used a socket and screwdriver to adjust my brakes. And I didn't think anything of it. I went straight to try it after receiving it in the mail today. It appeals to me. It's a cinch to use. br>I adore it so much that I hand-washed it after each use with soap and water. This is an excellent resource. You'll require one if you're a semi-truck driver. Even though it appears to be quite sturdy, I'm not sure how long it will last for a mechanic. However, you must obtain a driver. It's much less complicated than using a screwdriver and a socket. br>I give it five out of five stars.

If you know what you're doing, it's not really necessary
4/5

Every day, I deal with intermodal chassis. br>This is an excellent tool to have in your arsenal, but it's not one you should rush out and purchase. br>All you need to adjust the automatic slack adjuster is a 3/4 shallow socket to remove the pawl, adjust the brakes to your liking, and reinstall the pawl.

The price is well worth it, and the product is of excellent quality

Use this product on a regular basis at work. It's ideal for any type of heavy/medium-duty brake job. Drum brakes from Meritor or Bendix. It's a lot less expensive than a tool truck and has the same features.

I'm a big fan of this tool

However, it is. I'm a big fan of this tool. However, you do not require it in order to adjust your brakes. Except that the tool is not flat and holds itself, it is no more difficult to use than a wrench or a pry bar.

You'll never buy a more amazing tool! These tools are going to make your life a LOT easier

well ok. Perhaps adjusting your brakes is all that's required. However, how simple it is to use is amazing. It's no longer necessary to use a screwdriver or a wrench. These are something I would recommend to anyone who works on or adjusts semi brakes!.

The price of these caught me off guard a little. Overpriced, it appears. Nonetheless, they are my favorites. My cascade's brakes are a breeze to adjust with them. It is well-made.

For heavy-duty diesel mechanics, this is an essential set
5/5

I bought this because my new boss has the cheaper black set and I always lose them in plain sight. These are orange and honestly a little better. They don't break, wash in diesel, and they're as good as new. The only thing is you have to remember to take it off after adjusting the brakes.
