There is no way. This isn't going to open any beer kegs. A better question would be why you're trying to open a keg in the first place. Keep in mind that the spear is under pressure, and if the locking parts are removed, the spear will fly out and potentially kill you. Kegs should generally only be disassembled by people who know what they're doing. Please don't try to "open" a keg and injure yourself.

This tool will not work with 3/4-inch bungs, contrary to the description. As a result, the process of returning started. This was revealed when I read the return policy: "As soon as the item(s) is(are) returned to us, we will inspect it(them) for any usage, misuse, damages, and/or incomplete quantities (which includes chemicals and their proper weight). " We will refund you for the price of the product minus actual shipping charges and a 15% restock fee if the product passes these inspections once it passes these inspections. "br>br>At this point, I figured that after all of the charges and fees, there would be a small, if any, refund at best. br>br>I've learned a valuable lesson.
I took a chance on these because of the low price, but it snapped the first time I used it. I went ahead and ordered some Wesco bronze wrenches, which I've been using for a long time. It was nearly four times the cost, but I suppose you get what you pay for in this case.
With about 10 pounds of pressure, the wrench broke on the first use.
Unless you intend to open a barrel that has already been loosened, this tool is useless. I ordered three and they all broke within a few days.
I made the mistake of assuming I'd just find something else to use instead of buying one of these; after all, what do I know, I've never bought anything like that before, but no way haha. I messed up the plug by doing some stupid things, but I still couldn't open it. As a result, I caved in and decided to buy the correct tool. I was afraid that this tool would be prohibitively expensive, but wow, this thing was not only reasonably priced, but it's also very strong due to its metal construction, and it has made my life so much easier by easily opening that dangling barrel. If you require one, simply purchase one. It'll be well worth your time and money.
I'll be using this bung wrench exclusively on plastic barrels with nylon bungs, so wear shouldn't be an issue, but be aware that they're made of low-grade aluminum, so don't expect them to last if you're using them on steel drums/bungs that are tightly screwed on.
The bung was not properly fitted. The plastic bungs were harmed as a result. Torque was not applied to the bung as a result of the handle angle. br>I'm not happy.
As an apprentice auto tech, I'm responsible for opening bulk barrels of oils, coolant, brake cleaner, and other fluids. Prior to ordering this tool, techs used channel locks, screwdrivers, and pliers, and struggled at times. Opening some of the plugs on the barrels could take several minutes and a lot of effort. This tool saves time and effort by making it simple to open barrels! I can't believe no one has ever looked for or purchased this before. For years, they'd done things the same way!.
