Questions & Answers

How do I indicate that something is made in the United States of America?

According to the Crescent website, the AC16 is the 6" model of this wrench manufactured in the United States. Because the USA versions sell for $28, I'm guessing any available on Amazon are imported versions.

What is the width of the jaws on the 6"? Not the opening width, but the width of the jaws themselves?

The crescent wrench's jaw tapers from 5/16" in front to 3/8" on the inside; these are rough measurements taken with a rule rather than a micrometer.

The weight of the 6" adjustable is listed as 2 pounds in the product information. 17 lbs. This has to be a lot heavier than it is. Is it possible for someone to help me weigh this?

The weight is estimated to be 0. 405 lbs.

What does it mean to be Sensormatic?

This wrench has a fine scale etched into each side of the opening, in both metric and English units, so it can be used as a caliper to determine the size of the nut or fastener it's working on. It has also been used to determine the diameter of pipes.

It's a Crescent Wrench, to be precise
5/5

As in; "Pass the Crescent Wrench to me," says the narrator. br>Yes, you are correct. There's no such thing as an "adjustable wrench" in this case. It is, in fact, a Crescent Wrench. This wrench began it all, much like a Band-Aid. If you don't already have one, toss your old junk over a cliff and invest in a high-quality tool like this.

Crescent, you're at best mediocre
3/5

Shame on you! Is it true that everything is made in China? The quality and finish are far below Crescent's expectations. Putting my name on it would make me feel embarrassed.

Crescent has changed the design to make these stronger and open wider, but they are a little clunkier as a result
4/5

Even so, it's still useful to have in your pocket.

The mechanics aren't as tight as on older models, but it still works.

Wrench is adequate, but the jaws are shaky
3/5

The crescent wrench is extremely difficult to work with. Jaws are shaky and don't have a strong grip. But it gets the job done in a pinch.

The operation is smooth, and the fit is precise
5/5

I like how the adjustment screw moves smoothly and how the marks indicate how wide the jaws are open right now. The price of this wrench is reasonable.

It's very relaxing
4/5

Excellent craftsmanship. Nicely made, with a slightly thicker, more comfortable handle and a tight, smooth-operating jaw. Opens to 31/32 inch when fully extended. One star was taken away because of the poorly-written content. a tick engraved On a metric scale, make a notation. OK on the English scale. I didn't make an attempt to contact Crescent to request a replacement.
