The quality is poor
3/5

When you turn the knurled adjuster (part of the rotation is difficult, and part is smooth), it catches. It has a pitted finish. The craftsmanship and finish on this wrench are both lacking. Another example of a tool that was once well-made in the United States but is now mass-produced in China for a lower price. I exchanged the wrench for a Ridgid crescent wrench (Ridgid 86912 10" Adjustable Wrench), which is made in the United States. (When it arrives, I'll update my review. ) )br>Recently updated: I received the Ridgid crescent wrench and am extremely pleased with the quality of the product. The Ridgid is $10 more expensive, but it will be a joy to use and will last a lifetime because it is made in the United States.

These were once a prized possession in any man's toolkit. It has now been completely redesigned, and it is now inferior to the original product. What motivates them to act in this manner? The first version was quite small. It had a nice balance to it. The thumb wheel functioned as intended. It was perfectly sized for your palm. It was small enough to fit into a small space. It was a fantastic tool in the past! This is the next one. so- 'Improved' is a term used to describe something that has been improved. NOT. A head that is fat and thick. For small jobs, it's bulky and inconvenient. It's a wrench with a diameter of 4 inches! It's not meant to be used on anything that's going to be heavy. It's unbalanced to the extreme. When loosening the thumb wheel, it gets stuck. To open, the sliding jaw must be manually moved while the adjustment wheel is turned. The sliding jaw's angle has shifted to the WRONG position. Take a look at it: It's so self-evident. You can't take it apart because the screw head has been ground off. What's the best way to get rid of it? Is it necessary to lubricate? Oh and . It now includes 'directional arrows' that indicate which way the wrench should be turned. You've got to be kidding me. This is a complete waste of time. Before they're all gone, get a vintage one from eBay. Stay in good health.

It's a piece of GARBAGE! Regarding a wrench purportedly made by Crescent, Amazon suggested it
3/5

The jaw and adjustment knurl are the most important parts of an adjustable wrench. The wrench I received has a sloppy jaw and a flimsy knurl that makes it difficult to adjust. It's advertised as a "Ct crescent," but my old, good four-inch is a Crescent with an "r" for trademark, which is missing on the one I bought, a shoddy piece of work that I'll return.

I first purchased the Tekton version of this wrench, which was defective and poorly constructed; the milling was so rough that I had to force the jaws shut, making it barely usable
5/5

I returned it and replaced it with this for only a few dollars more, and it's nearly perfect: much better milling, extremely smooth motion, and you can tell that almost every part has been given more attention to detail. A solid and well-built wrench is well worth the extra money.

It's a Crescent, it's a Crescent, and it's a Crescent Off-the-shelf products have been used by all of us

out-of-the-box thinking the- It does not adjust or fit correctly in the box. Or it breaks after the third use. With this Crescent wrench, however, that is not the case. This is a solid, dependable investment that will last a lifetime. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to tools.

Why not invest in a genuine Crescent crescent wrench? So, this guy on YouTube who owns a farm and compares tools and products is one of my favorites
5/5

He did one of the adjustable end wrenches, so I went out and bought a Crescent crescent wrench. It wasn't the best in terms of overall performance, but it did exceptionally well for the money. I enjoy it now that I have it. I'm not going to be as harsh as that guy, but it's been great so far. The adjustment feels solid and there isn't a lot of wiggle room. Overall, this is a great value adjustable wrench. I would definitely recommend it.

WD40 is required
4/5

To loosen the screws, I had to use pliers. begin the adjusting; It was also smoothed out with WD40. I didn't expect to have to fix it right out of the box to get it to work properly, but it's a great wrench. It has grown on me now.

My wrench had a problem, but it's still a good wrench
4/5

It's a nice wrench, and the powder coating matches my other crescent wrench set. However, it appears that the 'jaws?' were made incorrectly. 'Do not open to the full 2 inches or whatever it was; they stop about 3 sixteenths of an inch short, and I couldn't force them any further. Otherwise, it still works, and I still like them, but the maximum open width was the sole reason I purchased the size crescent wrench I did. I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't open any further, so I'm going to assume it's just a minor flaw, and they're not all like that. I'll keep you updated if I find a solution.
