This was on sale for about $62 when I picked it up! This is a great deal at that price. I built it into the end of my work bench and hope that I'll be able to use it for many years to come. It is a solidly constructed and sturdy clamp that is fairly heavy at about 42 pounds. The jaws move easily and smoothly.

I have clamped heavy steel on only one side thinking it might break when I really crank down but nope it clips with more force than ever before! The swivel locks are great too! I have even moved my bench from side to side bending steel and have never had the vice slip! For the price, this is an excellent vice, and I would purchase again from this brand! The fact that it is so heavy made me worried that it might be damaged as it travels, but it was well packaged from the factory and arrived in excellent condition. Since I just bought it, I can't comment on how durable it will be, but this thing is built like a tank, opens and closes smoothly and has a nice finish (the paint on the drawers is bright and evenly applied). As well as the magnetic, rubber jaws for holding easily, I bought them- We have tested scratched items and they work fine. For some of the projects I do, I had to use a smaller vise, which I bought at Harbor Freight. In terms of size and quality, this is a significant improvement. It is impossible to go wrong with free shipping for something that weighs nearly 50 pounds! So far, it has been a very good experience. This is not something I will attempt to break anytime soon, and I will probably retry The review should be done.

It must be just right for me to have purchased this item. Getting six is a good result. A 5 in pipe is less expensive than a 4 in pipe. I was able to receive it in two days with Amazon Prime. The item is heavy and well made, looks good and works well. I've used it all the time in the past 6 months without any issues, though I've used it as an anvil rather than a vice. You need to be cautious about reviews stating that the design of the base would have to be modified for it to work. Having seen nothing on this 6, I assume it isn't on there. A rating of 5 that is quite close to what has been described in other reviews describing how the base rotates. I'm highly satisfied with this product. It seems to work great out of the box and it's a good buy for the price. Because of this, the stars are 5.

Thus I am returning it in favor of the much smaller, lighter version 4, which I prefer. The Yost vice I am reviewing today is a heavy duty vice of the 5 inch size. After seeing how well this vice is fit and finished, I would purchase a heavy duty vice from this line of Yost vices.
