Star E Torx Socket Set 14pcs Female 3/8 1/2 1/4 drive E4 - E20 External Torque Socket Tool Kit

There were a lot of Torx sockets (female sockets) that had the smaller sizes, but I was unable to find a complete set that was worth the trouble. One of the sets I returned was from a different retailer and did not include the wider range of sizes. Apparently, car manufacturers come up with a new fastener every few years for reasons that are not clear. On a 2015 Jeep Cherokee, a hex socket was required to remove a bolt head inverted from the brake calipers. Thank goodness I got it since those bolts were very tight and if I had attempted to remove them with a socket set, I would have probably damaged the heads. To prevent me from experiencing that kind of grief was so worth it. It was made of quality materials and was able to withstand the torque applied to it using a 3 foot long socket.

Duallies were one of those tools that U use once every few years, so it was a good price since I was buying it to do brake jobs on two Ford F350 flat beds pre 2000. The work I do on a regular basis is not what I do as a service mechanic. The 2 vehicles are part of my fleet, and they are occasionally used Every year, I travel about 3000 miles.

Considering that I'm not a mechanic, I use them almost every day, but they have done a good job for me It seems to meet the needs of anybody who needs them occasionally, and at a fairly good price. I think they would hold up well if used every day.

It looks like they are fairly solid. thing I've found to be an issue is that the socket wall is concave just a little, so when I tried to loosen an E6 screw, it wouldn't engage well with the head of the screw. the socket head was flush with the inner wall of the socket, then the screw head would be better able to engage the socket. So, I gave this item 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn't want to rate it too highly.
The seller shipped on time, no issues with that aspect.

I like that you can add this to a tool cupboard for a very affordable price. This tool is not of high quality, but it works fine for most projects which do not require sockets of top quality.

Because Ford determined that the only location on the car that required E Torx bolts was the power steering pump that I had to replace, I bought these. Identical to the picture, arrived quickly, and the case came on top of it as well! are not as good as Snap on quality, or as cheap as Snap On prices. Despite its age, it still looks well made.
