The dimensions of this rectangle are 5 mm x 22mm. It comes in two sizes, one 5mm x 5mm and the other 22mm x 22mm. You have the option of 5mm. The fit was perfect. I highly recommend this book. For those of you at Ford, this makes sense. Please let Ford know that you need this and replacement LUG NUTS so that you can save yourself the hassle of replacing them.
Even after hammering on a few lug nuts, the 5 mm side works seemed to be durable as I had to hammer on one or two. The 20 was too big, perhaps they could make a 19 instead. If they make better nuts then it might be better. At any rate, it gets the job done for a decent price and it seems to withstand abuse.
They are still hanging on after being removed from the vehicle with swollen lugs. I had to be really mean with them to get them out. This heat treatment finish isn't as good as the tool truck stuff, but totally worth having for the Ford, GM, and Chrysler lugs that swell up when they are heated. It is a must have for car mechanics to keep these in their toolbox.
Having worked as an automotive technician for more than 15 years, I know that lug nuts grow swollen with tires. With that said, I use this socket set on a daily basis. You can do your job and do it safely with this. Half sizes fit perfectly on flip flops, and even the normal size comes in perfect sizes. In addition to the knockout bar, the lever will help keep them from getting stuck when they're too far gone. Nonetheless, the half size usually works just fine and does not add any additional headache. This is a great set of sockets to have in your box as well as worth the money.
As corrosion penetrates under the stainless cap on the lug nuts of the stainless Ford products, the 19mm size expands over time. There are 19 of them. There is a solution to this problem the 5mm socket. It's nice to be able to get It's not necessary to use impact wrenches for me.
I like how handy it is. Many lug nuts rust underneath their chrome coating, and most half size lug nuts are so tight that you really have to attack them in and out of the socket.
I love that the product is 1/2 inch smaller than the previous model. On my Dodge, I had lug nut caps that were rounded. It was 1/2 size that I needed for me to remove them. The size I bought was a medium plus a large.
