I gave this to my son as a gift - Due to his lack of large sockets for his 3/4" or 1" drive handles, he had to have a specialist repair it. This tool comes in handy often as he maintains all of his tractors and farm equipment by himself. He has used them a bit and they fit nicely around the bolts/nuts they are designed to fit. It looks as if these sockets are thicker than many common brands, so they ought to be strong enough to withstand the torque he will place
I'm planning to get a metric set shortly since his Massey Ferguson is a metric Europe is the home of Ferguson tractors.
This set of chrome vanadium impact sockets is sturdy and durable. Sockets with six points are used here. have a slight taper so that they can be placed more easily. There is uniformity in the flat black finish. A painted size for each socket is provided as well as a stamped size. For the drive, the retaining hole has been made well and is held The drive has a 3/4" drive and comes with a plastic case As of yet, it has not cracked. The product is made.
The carry case was OK. There are a couple of issues with the latching on the case, as both latches don't really fit together when closed. However, since both handle halves are attached to the case, it doesn't matter, because when carried you are holding the case closed. As for the rest of the case, it There is a nice quality finish to the sockets & the screws are well placed It's likely that I have over 300 different sockets in my toolboxes, each from a different manufacturer). There are no apparent issues with the sizes & There is a good hardness to the surface. I used one on an old vise swivel base that was rusted solid, and it didn't budge while knocking that bolt loose with a full blast of probably 15 gallons of air. My satisfaction with the product and the quality is excellent It costs.
Please check your torque specs before proceeding.
I highly recommend it. He loved it! I gave it to him as a gift! For its intended use, it is of good quality and durable. Compare it to other stores and you'll find it's the best price out there.
They're the same as the 3/4" breaker bar that I bought. In the process of turning off several 1/2" bars, I realized perhaps my game would benefit from an upgrade. That should do it, next time. . They look nice and heavy and should provide adequate protection.
Originally I bought them to clamp onto a chevy 205 transfer case rear yoke nut, however they were too thick and I had to grind them down to fit, nevertheless they are heavy duty sockets I am sure I will use for other jobs in the future.
They are great products at a great price. It has to be said that I am continuously amazed by the quality of the Neiko tools, especially given the price. This is an example of an item where you gain far more value than you expect. These are so durable that they can last a lifetime without even breaking A very nice red plastic case protects the deep sockets. The finish on these products is black and they are clearly impact-resistant. The 3/4 to 1/2 adapter is where my 3/4 impact wrench is used when I have to torque large axle nuts, etc. However, if I had a 3/4 impact wrench, I wouldn't hesitate to use high torque with these. Compared to normal weight, they're a lot heavier (and have thick walls). It is a top-quality product in terms of its design. This is by far the best socket I have ever bought. While there are large impact socket sets for several hundred dollars, I can't think of a way you could produce a better product for the same price here. Again, this is an excellent quality product. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
