The model I own is the one I am currently using. Previously I had some were this model. It is unlikely that you will get long-lasting performance from a cheap set of drivers. My company does not install suspended ceilings, but I sometimes arrange for ceiling fans to be installed In order to do it right, you need to anchor the fixtures using eye hooks to the structure of steel or wood. Not just the drop ceiling frame work, but the lags as well. Buy these DeWalt tools and you'll be able to use them for a long time.
I popped this into my Porter Cable 20V impact driver after trying all the wrong tools to unscrew the acoustic eye bolts. It tore those suckers right out in seconds. This tool made it possible for me to relocate the eye bolts in just a few seconds. The only thing I regret is that I didn't discover it sooner.
In my commercial work, I hang professional speakers, and I have used every other brand of speaker hangers to put these wires in steel beams and corrugated steel sheets, but not this one. Even with an impact driver, I use it.
Most of the ones sold at big box stores have an outer plastic There are a couple of rooms that wear out every now and then. It's been a couple of months since I got it. The price was well worth it.
This speeded up the process of driving the hangers into the joists.
During the finish of our basement, my wife and I used three of those eye lag adapters sold at Home Depot. Ordered one after giving up for so long. came through in one evening as always and we were able to build a ceiling.
To install light fixtures inside my sheds, I use this bit to drive screw eyes where needed. It is my method of fixing light fixtures to the rafters inside my sheds.
In order to make it work, I need to use an extender.
