There are probably a bunch of things that could be chopped up with it. It would make sense to me if car tires were an exception, although first the tire would have to be cut into small enough pieces in order to be cut with a pair of shears. With it you can cut up Barbie dolls or JI Joe figures, as well as slice pizza. It is designed, however, for the cutting of In this case, the blades would have to be used for other purposes that the blades were not intended for If you use it for a variety of purposes, you could dull the blade, or accumulate a lot of residue on it that would need to be cleaned off in order for it to once again cut metal properly. However, you know what I mean. You can cut all the things up in the way you like!
LIC plates shouldn't be cut, not sure why you would do that
I like it
The 1/8 T x 2 W pieces can be cut repeatedly without a problem, and there are usually 2 or 3 one after another of the 1/2 inch rounds I cut.

Tool is well built, but there are no instructions, but mounting the 16" handle and threading in the part that secures the metal to be cut is intuitive No holes had to be drilled to attach the base to the $40 WEN grinder pedestal. A plus was that the mounting hardware was included with the shear. There are 19 mounting holes at 7 1/2" by 2 1/2" or 7 1/2" by 2". There are no 0's or 6's in this equation. To those of you using metric units, 0 cm. I believe the thickening capacity could be increased with a longer handle. You won't be able to cut the whole 5" wide, so plan on 4 1/2" wide. I ran the edges of the blades right through the handle of a stainless steel silverware spoon. To mount the pedestal on my shop floor, I just need to drill a few holes. This product is well made at a nice price. ****Update. As shear blades were being used to cut some mild steel rod, the lower one dented. As a result, I asked that the seller ship me a new blade and he shipped me a second new shear tool instead. According to the results, the bottom blade was not hardened sufficiently at the factory due to no damage to the top blade. Neither the 1st shear nor I were asked to return it. It is an awesome experience to know they stand behind their product. Wow! A.
This is a huge, heavy, yet dull and ineffective item. Even with 18 gauge copper sheet, the blade barely cut and the edge curled, which is a sign that the blade isn't The only way to cut steel with this is to gouge it with a rolling pin you will be disappointed if that is what you intend. It is fortunately not my intention to cut any material larger than 18 gauge. It isn't possible for me to do so. I guess this is yet another cheap chunk of metal from China that is botched. Sturdy and solid, the frame is a good solid design. I will take the blade to have it sharpened if I can take it off. Since it does not come with an instruction manual, I do not know how to take it apart.
I find this construction to be terrible! Because of its poor construction, I am unable to even use it. I can't cut anything with this blade because it is stuck. I would probably have to grind it down for an hour or so just to get the blade to clear it. There's no point in returning this, now I have to lug it back. There is no point in spending money on this garbage.
Very well made machine. Cuts through recommended metals with almost no effort. As I work with very small files that are flat, there is some curling along the cut line end, but as I have to pound the pieces anyway, I can easily solve that problem. The price was well worth it.
As far as the round bar sheer goes, I have not use it for sheet metal yet but I am not expecting any.
As a beginner, this is an excellent cutting tool. The machine can handle stainless steel up to 20 gauge without a The first time I got it, I thought it was bent out of shape, but all it needed was to be.
With a handle this length, you can leverage the tool well. On 1/8 inches of solid bar steel, I, or my wife, made a dozen cuts in a short period of time. It would be a little too thick for the shear, but I don't see any damage.
The heavy weight is a good thing due to its size. Make sure that you pick the right size for the cutter, as these are quite large!.
