These shears are also capable of cutting zip ties, such as those that are larger than the ones that the pliers can cut, but the pliers have one incredible advantage over these shears. Their precision is far superior to that of the shears. They can cut flush unlike the shears which
In the field or in a project, I find I need to make more types of cuts, and the wedging shears are a better tool than pliers which can be used to cut as a diagonal.
In fact, it does. Shears and a holster are packaged in cling wrap plastic, and there is also a small plastic pouch that holds the scissors.

The working of these is great and they would have gotten 5 stars, but there is one little thing you need to learn to use. A bevelled edge is present on the rear portion of the cutting blades, just prior to the large wire cutting feature. In the case of "beveling", it is meant to prevent blades from rubbing against each other and to allow for faster clamping of blades to blades. As a result of the bevel, the blades are pushed apart and prevented from rubbing against one another. In spite of this, the beveled area does not work well for cutting thin materials. At first, I ended up getting tape stuck between the blades when I tried to cut it. To solve the problem, you need to refrain from using the rearmost 5mm of the blade. Only then will everything work. After a few 'WT' it becomes very easy to realize that you shouldn't try to use the beveled area! It was an eventful time. This is a very good pair of.
These scissors have a better handle than a traditional electrician's scissors the leverage is too good for traditional Most of my work is in telecom. A great in-depth look at the industry For scissors and cable cutters, you have to choose between the two. The following are what I have put To make cuts, I used to use that pair in conjunction with a wall and my body weight. The same day I was taking down an equipment room (cat5/6, 50 pairs, fiber optics as usual), maybe 8 racks were in it. Everything is cut with these. couldn't cut the fibers because they were coated with Kevlar regular scissors couldn't cut the armored cable because of the coating. It went through everything with minimal effort and was worth the price for that I use them only when I need to cut larger cable or cutting multiple cat 6 cables at a time. I am just too used to regular scissors for terminating, which is why I prefer using them over regular scissors. There was only one flaw I found in these scissors, which I am responsible for. The scissors were damaged when I cut some fiberglass strengthening rod in fiber optic cable. Even though they were only tiny nicks, they were noticeable. I had no idea it would damage everything except Knipex mini bolt cutters, so I don't know what I was expecting. It wasn't meant to be used to cut glass rod, so I still use the old pair to do things they weren't meant to be used for.
Now is the time to get them. The scissors given here are "electrician's scissors," but everyone in modern society needs a pair of them. Opening packages, preparation of poultry, taking toys out of boxes, etc. are the types of work they do. They can cut steel, paper, plastic, bone, whatever they want, with no problems. The serrations allow them to chew through tough items in a manner similar to chewing through chewing gum.
Working at work, I cut a lot of 7 strand copper wire in gauges 8 and 10 The company saw hundreds of cuts a day and wanted to have a cutter that could handle 8awg copper and be lighter and more comfortable compared with the traditional 9in half moon cutter. This pair of shears does cut 8/10awg stranded copper fairly easily since the blade has a notch in it. My hands are too large to effectively get leverage on the grip, and I need to make use of my palm to cut. I find this to be the biggest failing. Although they're not exactly the strongest pair of shears and snips, they do quite a good job for an all-around pair. They're bright colors make them easy to remember and the 12awg and smaller cut As a whole, the Knipex shears are a great and versatile tool when they are used correctly.
What am I supposed to do? In the process of buying another Knipex tool, I acquired an addiction to buying tools! In my opinion, these are very sharp, and I am sure they will stay that way for a very, very long time. The case is also a great bonus! Make yourself happy with a pair of new shoes! I give it 5 stars!.
Please take caution Your hands are big and they are going to hurt There are a few ergonomic issues with these scissors, but they are high quality scissors. The handle on one is intended for two fingers, while the handle on the other is meant for The size of my hands is "XL," so if I were to measure them using an American glove size, I would say that they were too cramped. There is only one problem I have injured myself twice while using these devices. The inside of the handle became scratched after a part of my finger got caught in the cutting blade while cutting thick material. As a result of this cut, the scissors slammed shut, pinching my skin between the handles after they finished cutting. There have been two instances of this, and both times blood has been drawn. The experience was not pleasant. My only wish is that the scissors had the stop somewhere other than right on the handle where your fingers would be.
As far as my tool bag was concerned, I constantly mistreated my pair of very sharp scissors. A recent installation snapped the plastic handles during a cutting of network cable after they had lasted for several years. It's because those scissors were designed to chop through paper or fabric, not network cables! Designed for cable, these will last for a lifetime, and I believe that they will be hard to break or damage. Good little carry bag to protect them when I dig for them in a.
After only a day of use, they fell out of their holster in a job site. They were missing from the holster in which they came. Leaving them in your tool bag or locking them up would be a great option. The tips seemed very sharp to me, and I have to cut the Kevlar braces in cables when I strip them to expose the fiber while working with It is not designed to cut Kevlar with the section on the snips that is designed to cut cable. There were indentions on the metal after I tried, even if I didn't squeeze hard, so that turned out to be a no-go. The snips themselves were okay, but it frustrates me that I could not utilize the whole thing. My likely decision would be not to buy the product again due to the risk of losing it.
