Shears for the rest of your life
5/5

This tool is a tough nut to crack. When you see it in person, you think to yourself, "This could cut sheet metal. " " Of course, if you need to cut braided fishing line, you shouldn't do that, but I'm sure you could. After purchasing these shears, I'm considering purchasing a saltwater resistant Gerber plier. They make high-quality products. You might think it's expensive, but if you only have to buy it once, it's not. That's the kind of equipment I'm looking for. I inherited my father's fishing gear after he died. Everything he had was of the highest caliber. Even though I'm 72, I still use some of it. You'll want a pair of these shears if you enjoy things that work and work well. You're not going to be let down.

Must Purchase in the Field of Fishing
5/5

Use these if you ever fish in saltwater, even if it's only for a few weeks. This is the one and only pair of fishing scissors you'll ever need. Spending a little more on the saltwater ones will save you money in the long run. This purchase has made me extremely happy.
Pros:
- Easily cuts through braidbr>- After use in saltwater, it will not rust. br>- They're kept short by a snub nosebr>- Can be attached to a lanyard to keep them from falling into the waterbr>- Gerber products are less expensive. br>Contrary to popular belief, Gerber products are less expensive. br>
- Some fishing clippers aren't as big as this one.

Heavy Braid is easily cut with this blade
5/5

This is a fantastic saltwater fishing tool. My 85 and 100 pound shark braid is easily and smoothly cut with this tool. With a simple rinse after use, they appear to be very corrosion resistant so far. They're a great addition to my surf belt because they're sturdy and well-designed, and they're simple to use even with soiled hands. I like the rounded tip because it keeps me from accidentally impaling myself when I'm wearing it on my surf belt. Simply put, it's a great tool for saltwater anglers. I first purchased the fresh water model, and I am very pleased with it. When I first started surfing, I assumed that the salt water model would be superior. I could have saved a lot of money if I had first purchased the saltwater model.

Get your hands on some scissors
5/5

This pair of scissors is incredible. I use them in both salt and fresh water. They cut exceptionally well and, more importantly, they last! Braided line, eggs for salmon and steelhead, and whatever else I require are all no problem. I still wash them in fresh water when I get home just to be safe, but even if you only fish freshwater, the saltwater version is worth it for the extra toughness. I am extremely happy.

It gets the job done
3/5

It is not well designed in terms of ergonomics. It's difficult to move around because of the stiffness. The use of large oval finger openings rather than rectangles would be preferable. With rectangles, you can't get a good grip on the handle. Instead of being straight, the tab extension on the handle should be longer, more slender, and slightly curved. On braid, it makes a clean cut.

Like butter, braid ilne is cut
3/5

ideal for 40, 50, and 65 years old 80 pound uhmwpe braided fishing line, as seen in the video. The handle loops aren't ergonomic, making it clumsy and painful to use. Also, who needs a bottle opener when the bottle opener is sharp and pointed, causing a gouged finger? The cutting portion is excellent, but the handle was clearly designed to be used with two hands.

I think that's pretty cool
5/5

These were a request from my husband. They're fantastic, in my opinion. They're for fishing, so I don't know what they're for. Lol. So there you have it. If your husband wants them, go ahead and get them.

I've tried a variety of brands and sizes for my saltwater fishing, and this one is the best
5/5

After a period of salt exposure, they either became rusted and dull, or the plastic/rubber parts broke. I've been using these for about two months and they've been fantastic so far! They appear to be brand new, with sharp edges and little rust (if washed down after each salt water exposure). I'm very pleased, and I should have bought Gerber sooner rather than later instead of squandering my money on inferior brands.
