Each rod measures 4-7/8" in length and is made of. For the perfect fit, go 0025" undersize.

There are 28 rods in total, ranging in size from 3/32" to 1/2" in 1/64" increments, plus one 17/32" rod.

Pen components can be easily removed.

Recover blanks that have been damaged.

Correct any parts of the pen that have been set incorrectly.

What's the height of the cone itself? The material that has a hole in it is. Will these work if I use the code "090"?

I'm guessing your question stems from your desire to use this as a transfer punch, as I do in my home machine shop. The height (size) of the cone varies. The smaller diameters have a conical shape with a radius of about 0. Cones with smaller diameters top out at about 0.065", while those with larger diameters top out at around 0. 095". While they are good value for money, the finish isn't great, and I'd be wary of using them as a transfer punch on anything thinner than 0. 15"- 20".

How difficult is it to use Slimline pens? My 13-year-old sons started turning Slimline pens and made a few rookie mistakes at first. ?

The kit consists of rods of various sizes that fit inside the pen, and the various pieces are removed by hammering the rods. It is not difficult to use, but it must be used with caution.

Excellent for wood, but not for metal without breaking the tips

Sent from China with a lot of oil on the punches and stand to keep them from rusting. Spent a lot of time cleaning off the oil and applying paste wax to keep them from rusting, but they worked fine with wood after that. It was a reasonable price.

This kit is necessary for disassembling pens in order to correct a flaw or other issues with the turning of the pen. At least, that's how I use them most of the time.
