Is it possible to strengthen these by heating them?

The set I got is plenty tough, as I shattered the hardened tip on one of them when I hit it incorrectly. The others have served me well, so unless you have a bad set, I don't think it's worth it to try to harden them. As a former blacksmith, I understand when a tool needs to be hardened.

The tips of the first three I used flattened out on the first hammer strike. Junk for a low price. I got my money's worth from my game. This is an item that I do not recommend.
