My box was a standard blue box. China is the source of this product. Some of them broke the first time I tried to use them. I would not suggest it.
China - Have you been caught off guard? I wasn't expecting this, but it meets my needs perfectly. If I had to rely on these every day, I'd gladly pay three times the price for a good domestic set.
As shown in the photo, the stand I received included a metal stand.
As shown in the image, the set I received came with a metal stand.

Nope; a low-cost plastic tray is included On the plastic holder, at the very least, the punch sizes are embossed. These are made in China, and I wasn't expecting a made in the USA product at this price, but I was expecting the metal holder because the product advertisement shows a metal holder. I wouldn't mind if the ad said "You may receive a metal or plastic holder," because you were told that. However, this is not the case. I haven't yet checked to see if any of them are bent. If they are, the situation will be reversed. If they're straight, I'll just keep them because they're a nice set for the price and I'll use them frequently.
This is not a Fowler brand item, but a Chinese knock-off, as others have stated. off. The punches are a little rough, and the stand is flimsy and out of alignment. I would not recommend using these to mark metal because the metal is quite soft. br>br>For centering wood, the set is adequate. It was also ideal for my project, which involved creating a jig to square up pen blanks before turning them on the lathe. br>br>If you only need these for woodworking or as a set of sized rods (as I did), they'll suffice. Look for something better if you're working with metal.
Punching bags are fantastic. It's a very flimsy case. Spot welds were broken when I received it. I had to have it welded back together.
I was worried about the possibility of getting a non-traditional job. Based on an earlier review, this appears to be a genuine product, but Amazon's return policy would allow for a quick and simple resolution. br>br>What I got was a blue box with no mention of Fowler anywhere on it. The part number, 72-, is the only thing that matters. 482- 028- There was a zero on the list. The metal carrier on my model isn't perfectly aligned (the middle support shelf isn't welded perfectly parallel, but the top and bottoms are). This set, which is made in China, has the size of each punch stamped or etched on the top, which is a nice touch. br>br>Concerned that this might be a knockoff, I contacted the Fowler corporation, who assured me that it is a genuine Fowler product. I used it to punch a few cherry stock punches, and the tip showed no signs of wear. The punches themselves appear to be of good quality. br>br>For the price, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and say they'll hold out and propose a 4-person team. a rating of five stars I could never give a higher rating, regardless of price, for the obvious hasty manufacturing.
The holder shown in the picture is not included. It's made of low-cost plastic. The punches are fine, but the holder earns four stars.
The punches came in a box marked "Made in China," but I don't believe they're referring to it: I contacted Fowler, who informed me that this is not their product. br>br>The punches arrived covered in grit, and one of them was slightly bent, but I cleaned the set and was able to straighten it out sufficiently for my use. I'm only going to use these punches for woodworking, so I think they'll be fine, so I gave them a 4-star rating. stars.
They're perfect for what I'm using them for.
