It hasn't been a problem for me to get gunsmithing services the majority of the time. When I swap backstraps and remove pins from grips, the only time I encounter trouble is when removing pins from grips. In part, this is because the holes are too big for these punches since they are tapered and not quite long enough to punch out every pin. It was then that I used pliers to remove the punch. It's not a big deal, but if there was a slight taper in this punch or if it were slightly longer I would love it. The product is still great and we highly recommend it.

This is one of the best pin punches I've ever seen. The Harbor Freight and Costco boxes I have are in good shape. The cheap brands that are 25 dollars are far superior compared to the brands that are 25 dollars or less. A gunsmith should have a set of stainless steels and bronze in his arsenal as they are machine hardened and tempered well.
