Questions & Answers

Do you know if this tool can be used for ship model brads or is the spring too strong to handle ?

Well, the spring in this tool is pretty strong, but what makes it special is that you can adjust how much leverage is required. This is not a Mickey Mouse tool and I have used it on a variety of projects. Just pull it up with the rope you don't need to use a hammer and puncher

Does this work for removing hinge pins from doors?

There is no doubt that it works for removing hinge pounds. This tool comes in very handy for me as a house painter and I use it all the time to remove hinge pins! There's no doubt about it. The only reason you'd buy more stuff is so they can sell it to you again. Nevertheless, the 2 pack, which includes a flat one, is perfect for this use

Product that should be purchased, but it is overpriced for the I love these precision nail sets for their quality
3/5

If you put a brad nail up flush with the surface of prefinished wood and then leave a hole next to the nail, it would be terrible You slipped this nail set off the brad, so you are a proud The point of the nail sets chip or break, making them unusable. I have had several of these for years and have to buy new ones not because I lost the old ones but because they use crap steel and the points of the nail sets are broken or chipped. Despite the small size, they are making a great deal of profit off of these parts. In most cases, they are used by real tradesmen who know quality. I say Springtools, you need to spend an extra 50 cents on better steel!.

Nail holes in hardwood floors are fixed A pop
5/5

There's a nail pop every now and then where a nail starts sticking to my wood floors in my home, where I have oak hardwood floors throughout. This is extremely irritating. My previous practice has been to go to the garage and get a nail set and Having now had this piece for a long time, I store it in the kitchen drawer and take it out whenever I need Easy to do, does not require a hammer, and takes only 10 minutes After the nail is driven in - A fix has been made for pop. My goal is to stop nails from growing (now if I could just figure out how to stop them growing) The first thing happens is that the pops.

For nail guns, this is a must have
5/5

Despite its small size, this tool is quite useful. The process of banging in nails with a nail gun doesn't work when I try to use a nail set and a hammer to get nails to go below the surface of moldings. When used with a nail set, the nail often slips and causes the hole to enlarge, which obviously must be filled. A brad nail driver that fits over the head of 18 gauge brad nails is used for this task. And a bonus on top of that. It helps if I create a dimple in metal that needs to be drilled to ensure the bit gets some bite. I used decking screws to do this. Once you hear the bang from the other end of the tool, you're on your way. I highly recommend this.

This is a great little gadget
5/5

It's easy to overlook this sort of thing. There is no need to have it until a protruding brad arises. As a result, either you get more aggravation or try sinking the rod in some more complicated way, but it still causes damage to the But I must say that this simple, little gadget is perfect for ensuring any brad nail will go flush or as deep in your wood project as you like. It's extremely simple to use, of good quality, and A brad flush is also accomplished within seconds, and there is no need for any specific skills, dexterity, or.

It is a great product and I used it to replace all 4 of my baseboards in my home during the summer and I found that sometimes you will need to set the nails because the nails may be too long
5/5

Trying out this new spring tool was a lot of fun. The process saves time and takes a lot less effort than using a nail. I recommend you wear leather gloves to avoid pinching your skin.

It is easy, fast, and effective
5/5

I bought my first one at a thrift store for a dollar. Even though the spring was a bit weak and bent, it still worked great for several years until it was lost. I found myself doing quite a bit of finishing work and decided to order another one. This tool is easy to use and can set 18 gauge brads, 15 gauge nails, and bigger finish nails easily. This spring is a lot stronger than my first one and should last for quite some time. Find some place to store it in your tool pouch, because it's hard to replace when the spring breaks.

The tool is good, but it needs to be protected Seller of great quality
3/5

There is nothing I dislike about this nailset. You know how difficult it is to set a nail in a piece of work that has any give to it if you have ever done that. There is a solution for that problem in this tool. It may rust in any amount of moisture. This is why I buy mine and store it in a ziplock bag for when I am not using it. A quick update I don't even know how it happened but one of my nail sets shattered, the larger end. Anyhow, I was able to send the seller an email to report it, and they promptly sent me a new one free of charge. It is not common for sellers to stand behind their products as strongly as Your help is greatly appreciated!.

You won't have to hammer and split trim any more
5/5

I find it better than using a hammer to punch a hole. It was used by my painter to sink brad nails, then caulk over them and paint over them. It was only a test run on quarter round that prompted me to purchase one. The process works like a Sinking Brad nail heads with a hammer vs. nailing with a nail gun is so much easier, quicker, and more effective.
