The ends of the pry bar could have been perfect as a small pry bar, but it missed the mark as a small pry bar. Pry bars that I have purchased in the past have a nearly cutting edge at the top of the taper A knife edge would not be as sharp as a pry edge. However, it is sharp enough to get the pry ends under small moldings without tearing the wood or to work under caulk to lift the piece from the ground. My new 30 inch bar is sharper than my old 30 inch bar. A blunt edge is present on one end, and a more blunt end is present on If I want this to be a useful tool, I need to get a sharper edge. Should not need to repeat what should have been able to be done in.
A little over a month ago, I purchased TEKTON's 15" Pry Bar to remove carpet tack strips from my concrete floor in preparation for a basement remodeling project. I really appreciate how this pry bar improved an unenjoyable job and made it a lot more The pry bar held up just fine after I beat the tar out of it. I'm an average homeowner and DIY'er, but with the right tools, YouTube videos, and some common sense, I can take on projects left and right. Having never dealt with carpet tack tracks that were nailed into concrete, I quickly realized I would need a pry bar in order not to damage my floors. The TEKTON pry bar came in the mail and I immediately set to work, hitting the flat part of the bar against the nails/tacks to The tack strips were no match once I got my rhythm going! This product is one I cannot praise enough - it is excellent in every way! My experience was a breeze, with no problems or hassles. I recommend it!.
The item was purchased, however, for only one, and only one, purpose Tie strips from an old carpet installation are pulled up to clean the hardwood flooring beneath. This tool used to be used to remove tack strips manually, which was a sure-fire way to destroy floors, but it now changes how you remove them from hell to mildly annoying, and it does so without damaging your floors. My treatment of it was not gentle Honestly, I beat the hell out of that piece of snot. I tried it, and it worked. Although the powder coated finish looks nearly as good as when it was new, it has never bent, chipped, or snapped. This device would serve me well for even more tasks, and it would most likely be no worse for The pry bar was the best $5 I ever spent and it pays for itself many times over. Usually I don't sing the praises of Chinese-made tools, but this pry bar was the best $5 I have ever spent. A five-star rating is easy to achieve.
Breaking up some concrete with it, pulling up nails, and removing an old carpet were some of the things we used it for. Nothing to complain about, it seems to be made of properly insulated materials Steel that has been treated. The product is sturdy and well finished, and so far I have no complaints. I currently use it to break up concrete around two fences around my house. That was the harshest thing I've ever done with it. When breaking off posts with a hammer, pound it into the concrete to break it off the post. This job should be done without damaging surfaces or bending. I just find it to be useful for my own purposes. I agree - Possibly some of the more negative reviews were posted by people who purchased from knock-offs Why are off sellers so expensive? There are times when Amazon has a few hacks that sneak through their cracks and they sell counterfeit/fake goods Things off the list that are of a lesser importance Quality is not up to par. In other words, using weaker or improperly worded phrases As a pry bar, it will easily chip and break from normal use because it is made of steel.
Look at where exactly your item is coming from, just something to keep in mind. Make sure you read through the seller's profile before submitting your order. Maybe you should look at another seller if you are buying from one with a low rating.
Before we go any further, we know you wouldn't be shopping for a 7-inch. I would recommend using a 1/2" pry bar for most tasks unless you had very specific needs for a smaller That's a small pry bar, then. Half an inch in fact, much smaller than the pry bar you probably have in your garage that was handed down to you from an earlier Are there any more remarks to be made? This is a small pry bar that is good for prying small things. Hardness-wise, it doesn't deflect too much under load, and I was able to use a small portion of the prying surface without any problems. All in all I have had a good experience with Tekton tools, and this little pry bar is no different.
The first one was misplaced, so I got a new one as soon as possible. The tool has been useful for cleaning moulding, tack strips on carpet, nails, prying off stubborn boards, etc. With their tapered ends, these ends allow you to go between tight spaces with ease. There was quite a bit of force used, but the item has not I would definitely recommend it. Despite purchasing both, I barely use the larger one. The smaller one does its job so well that I rarely use the larger one.
For comparison, I also purchased the mini pry bar, which I believe is similar to the first tool I bought from TEKTON. As for separating studs and pulling nails, these are not sturdy wrecker-style bars, but I just pulled carpet staples, screws, drywall, concrete nails, stud nailers, and long, buried concrete nails from a whole house with them. Almost all of it was handled with this. This bar was bending quite hard when I was handling the concrete nails in the basement floor, and I thought it might fail (wear eye protection EVERYONE, this thing is springy even when pulling nails at studs), but luckily the nails broke first and this bar remained in tact. I am very pleased with my.
As a matter of fact, I didn't read the part about the size when I read the description, so the description about the size was accurate to my knowledge. Even though I'm grateful, I don't know how I would have gotten there without them In this case, an 18" bar would have been too heavy to use easily and overkill.
