Questions & Answers

Can you tell me if this pry bar is made in the U.S.?

In fact, the 11" I received has a Made in Japan sticker on it.

Is there a rule of thumb for deciding which size to use for deck boards and other exterior items?

The deck boards worked perfectly with the 11" toe kicks.

Can you tell me how wide the head of the puller is? To use it, I need a channel measuring 1/2" wide. ?

You will need a 3/4-in wide head for the nails puller. Good luck!

I can arm them with my cat. Could this be used as a replacement but is it too heavy?

This tool would be difficult to use to replace the arm of your cat. If the elbows or wrists were not articulated, the kitty would walk like a funny form. It is probably necessary to use a cane or at least a squires walking stick, along with a large exotic fur covered hat and a *br>Now, if you are looking to pull nails that are 18 gauge brads to 20 penny nails, then this tool is ideal for you. Unlike most nail pullers, this nail puller has a cheater pipe over the end, ideal for pulling nails with
5/5

This is a good nail puller, but if you put a piece of 1" pipe over the end, it becomes even more useful. The method has worked for me with dozens of spikes with 16d spiral shanks. I absolutely love it!.

There is no such thing as too small or too big
4/5

The little beast I purchased wasn't realizing it was only about 8 inches long, I really needed it to be more than 10 inches. However, it still resides in my tool bags and I use it every day. Since it is sharp, it can penetrate under just about any nail without damaging the wood. Once there is a lever/nail under the blade, you can then use your hammer to get it out. When buying an eyeglasses, it is best to pay attention to the length, as pictures can be deceiving. A pulley with such strength typically needs a bit more horsepower, but this washer does the job well and it didn't cost me too much. Despite its shortcomings, this is a good tool. My framer on this project needs to give me a longer one so I can stop borrowing it from him.

It's the easiest way to get out those hard to reach A contractor came to me with one of these while I was replacing some wooden steps on the house, and he said, "this will save you some time" I used it with a hammer to remove even the most stubborn nails
5/5

There are some tasks that require some effort, but without this tool it would have been impractical. That is why I ordered it right away and am so happy to have it now in the toolbox. The nail file is a tool which everyone should have if they will be dealing with nail removal. This is a wonderful / essential tool that I am thankful to have discovered!.

The best tool I've ever used
5/5

It was purchased as In the one I received, I received a 10, not a I don't have a problem with 6", but it's not a big deal. For at least eight years, I used the same one without fail in framing construction, and others on the crew used the same one too. I have not found anything faster or more effective than this when pulling nails out of lumber driven by nail guns. The teeth of the tool simply work much better and faster than others I've used. There has never been a break in my life.

The size 10 is incorrect
3/5

I should have bought the 8. Seeing as it was rather small, I decided to measure The length of the bracelet is 9 3/4 inches. As soon as you read the package, ten inches is written on it.

I find this to be very useful
5/5

As I replace the nailed boards on my deck incrementally, I use this. Using the cushion grip, you can drive it under nails with a hammer better than the Shark Grip of similar size. The geometry of the head grips the nails better than any Shark Grip. As far as I can tell, wood gets stuck between the teeth more than This is not a hard question to answer. There is nothing wrong with either of these The larger of the two Estwing deck tools gives you more leverage on a deck, so I prefer to use the larger one. My preference would actually be to have a bigger size.

There is no better Prybar or Nail Puller out there! As a renovator, I have found that the PC210G is the best prybar and nail puller one could ever want in their toolbox
5/5

With its Estwing design and high quality steel, you are able to abuse this tool and it will never fail you. In fact, the claw points and grooves stay sharp for a long time and can even pull out air pin nails of up to 4" in diameter. The bar will, however, prove difficult to remove any nails that are larger than this. Nail pullers often cause little damage to the wood from which they are being pulled, as they are easy to use, and cause little noise. Despite its compact size and ease of positioning in tight spaces, the bar is strong and durable. Asphalt shingle roof repair is convenient with this pry because the pry end is gently curved just enough to get under the shingles and the claw tips are the perfect size to get under the nails without damaging the shingles. An angle of the pry allows one to easily lift a nail for removal without having to punch through the shingles. Similarly, this tool is great for repairing shingles on wood siding for much the same reasons as it is for It is possible with this pry end to dig the bar into the bottom of the wood shingle and pound the shingle outward. Small nails under the shingle will easily be removed by sliding the bar over the nail and gently lifting Additionally, the pry end can be used to pry into window frames that have been painted or jammed into for removal with little damage. We recommend using this bar for wooden window repairs as well as the pry end can be used for windows where paint or jamming has been applied. Getting under trim is a breeze when using this tool. No damage to the trim at all is caused. Besides rot removal in difficult to reach areas, it works really well as a rough chisel. A prybar/puller like this is literally the best there is. PC210G is the only flat bar with a large curve that can pull as much as PC210. There is only one negative thing that I can comment on about this tool the silicone handle is easy to damage, and it can tear In spite of this, if one doesn't abuse it, the handle is very comfortable and durable. I really like the design of.

I was able to put it under some problem nails and a pipe over it to get the leverage I needed to start pulling out the nails so I could move my pry bar under them
4/5

It works great, but it is a bit short on leverage. As a result, I had to hammer the nails back up by their heads with a hammer after I buried them a little bit in the wood. The blade became dull, but I was able to sharpen it on a grinder to make it sharp again. My nails were simply left in place for years until I used this, a pipe, and a pry bar. I think it's a handy tool to have around and it's not too expensive either.
