There are several Estwing products made in the U. S. I believed they were all made there. Made in Taiwan, this item is made of metal.
My first impression of this is that it's made in the Taiwan is the country of manufacture.
The deck I have on my house is being demolished. The bar started to bend a bit on the third day, and today, the fourth day, I noticed the bar was broken by about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches. Please be patient.
Pry bars are generally light and strong, but this one is especially lightweight. Since the end is fairly thin, I am able to fit it into a small space. A lot of leverage is provided by the angles. The second one of these pry bars would be on my shopping list right away if I needed one more. It is recommended. It makes no difference at all since pry bars aren't intended to win beauty pageants, but the bar does look nice.
With a good length, a relatively light weight and good strength, I recommend this bar for general disassembly. When it comes to length, it usually works to the advantage of the writer. The tools made by Estwing are known for their quality, and this one does not.
Each application has its own requirements This pry bar is thin and extremely sharp, so it makes it easy to pry apart something that needs reassembling without damaging it, unlike thick and sturdy pry bars. Estwing products are high quality, as they are for all of their Taiwan is a far superior country in terms of quality to.
In addition to taking out hardwood floors, I also removed tile + underlayment with this bar. Since the blade is thinner than my other similar pry bars, I used this bar most often to get under new pieces to pry them While the concave shape resists flexing, it does have some give, and the long length gives you excellent So far, I've hammered out all of its snot and it's holding up just fine.
My work with the conservation department involves using these all the time, and the one I used at the moment is perfect. Although it is good and strong, don't put too much force on the tips of the pliers if you are prying something heavy, as they may break off.
