My snapping turtle traps came together okay without any problems with the gauge, though I'm not sure of its gauge. With heavy duty wire cutter pliers (diagonal cutting pliers) when assembling traps for storage, you can quickly cut the wire and store the trap.
These came in handy when I made snapping turtle traps out of 2" X 4" fence wire. I would say that the gauge is 16 or 18. This technique worked very well and you can squeeze them down so there is no gap where the edges meet using hog ring pliers.

A fabric or upholstery can be held in these. Chain link fences are too small or not strong enough to be constructed with them.

While I do not intend to be picky, when the title indicated it's a kit, I thought it stated "kit" A hog ring is included in "500", though it sounds like something else is too I did expect to receive a pair of pliers in the kit, and 3 of 5 pictures show a pair. It may not be apparent to someone that the word kit is sometimes taken to mean something that includes what you need to use the included parts, such as a grommet kit that includes grommets and an installation A pair of pliers was included in "Frequently bought together" which should have made me aware of this. Having three photos of a pair of pliers in a bag of 500 clips is misleading to anyone but me a bag full of clips is not useful without pliers. Although the pliers alone are also listed on another page as "Straight Hog Ring Pliers Kit" and there are no rings included, so I find it strange why it's called a kit. Then again, I'm just being unreasonable about it all. My original plan was to return these and purchase Ion Tools' kit that includes rings and pliers, but I decided to test these with some tools I had before finding myself throwing more money at another item and going back to the store. However, if I were to rate only the rings, I would have to say they are just OK. Many reviewers, however, seemed to be satisfied with their purchases. Moreover, I used some rings in making tomato cages out of old field fencing they worked for that, but they still were too thin to be used for repairing bungee cords, and they did not have enough strength to resist pulling through hooks.
steel sheets worked perfectly to reinforce the walls of the collapsible crate used by my dog Max. In order to greatly extend the duration of the secure holding of the walls, more durable alternatives were sought. Rings are best applied from the inside of the crate so the minor pointed ends end up on the outside where your dog cannot reach them. Despite the rings' tight grip, they remain in place. Also used them to secure additional wire to my back chain link fence to cover places where Max was leaving the yard due to ground erosion. I got some wrought iron lawn edging and used these rings to secure it. This is a temporary solution that will be used until a permanent solution is reached.
According to what I can see, these are the 3/4-inch size that I purchased and they exactly match OEM. In my shop, I handled any seat issue that came up because I have been doing auto upholstery for so many years. The hog rings were needed after I had to replace a seatbelt in a chevy. In the end, I took a chance after researching and trying my hardest to make sure they were a good fit and exactly what I needed. I will buy more in the future when the time comes, but for now I had one seat down in the family truckster already installed.
I use them to fasten chicken wire. In order to keep rabbits and other small animals from getting in, I need to install chicken wire at the bottom of the panels. Although they are thicker and larger than anything I have seen, they are perfect for this application.
We have used Hog Rings on our farm for a number of years, and I thought I would save some money by purchasing these instead of the brand I found at our local farm supply store. the steel of these is not strong and they tend to bend and sag once they're in use. I am sorry to say that I cannot.
I used to have copper colored ones from another vendor, but they became The colors will gradually change to a dark grey, but they do not rust. I used them to attach bungee cord to some bungee cord and they survived several rain storms with no issues. They are still holding tight, and they do not.
I had to re-run the program, but it worked perfectly Putting the OEM seat covers on a JK wrangler after the seat warmer goes out is an easy thing to do.
The product works well. I would purchase it.
