Can these be used to store blades?

A blade storage system is not available.

Can you tell me if the packages come in separate containers? Are there blades included with them? Is that okay?

These two products come together in one The blades that come with them do not come with extras.

Would anyone be able to tell me what the overall width is? Don't you think it would be great if I didn't need to carry around a bulky knife?

The dimensions are 5" x 4" The belt clip is 3/16" X 19/32" if it's not attached to (removable) spring wire which adds another There is a small protrusion of about 1/16" on the side opposite the belt clip that allows the release button to be accessed.

Do you have a plastic handle or a metal handle?

One is mine, and the other is mine too. There are two metal handles on the tool.

This knife is the best of both worlds! The purpose of buying this was to give it to my father, so I could modify it
5/5

Let me begin by saying that the fastback line of knives is by far the best utility knife you can get. Since the newer models come with blade storage, I wanted something that is small and easy to take with me on a regular basis. The photos and modifications I made to it are attached for those curious, and this is how I would have designed it if I had worked at I just wanted to clarify that the knife did not come this way (it was advertised/shown in the pictures with a red powdercoat I have a lot of free time, so I wish I had more time to sand and polish. The casting quality is pretty good.

It's one thing not to like about this knife
4/5

This is a fine utility knife that's designed well and works flawlessly. This is a well-built, well-designed vehicle. This knife's blade is very sharp and its grip is very solid. I do not like the belt hook, but this is merely a matter of personal taste. Personally, I feel that it reduces the comfort of the grip. My attempt to remove it failed because the screw securing it to the knife would not However, this is a minor issue and it doesn't discourage me from recommending the knife. On the positive side, the blade locks after closing so, it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to accidentally open the blade when retrieving the knife The Milwaukee offers all those benefits, so I'm very happy with it. I was able to get two knives for an excellent price.

YOU ARE WARNED There is no locking at 45 degrees as stated in the description of this model
3/5

excellent utility knives, and I own a few of them. The model #48 is the only one I own A couple of years ago, I bought a 1903. My order for the same model number last year was replaced with a different knife without the 45 degree lock, since Milwaukee had substituted another knife under the same model number. I was excited when I noticed Milwaukee had added back a utility knife that could lock at 45 degrees when I read the description of this item. That's not at all the case. Milwaukee's lack of honesty throughout the process of a substituted knife with the same model # and now claiming that the same model # knife locks at 45 degrees, is causing me to doubt Milwaukee's reliability in the overall process.

The potential for danger is awesome
3/5

There are several reasons why I like this knife. It opens and closes with just a push of a button, and you can also change the blade with a push of a In order to ensure that the wire stripping compartment does not get dull, it is made from the same blade as the utility knife. This means that when you change the utility knife blade, the wire stripping compartment will also be changed. As for the dislikes, my main concern is that the pocket clip is not reversible, so it can only be carried in one direction, which happens to be the opposite of the way that I carry it. In spite of its ease of opening and closing, the knife does not always lock securely when it is closed. It is sometimes difficult for the lock to engage when the knife is closing too quickly. In this case, the knife will be forced to close and will bounce against the inside, causing it to stay open. Pay attention if you don't want to put yourself in danger.

Utility Knife that works amazingly well
5/5

I have had mine for about 3 years and use it on a daily basis. I find it the most useful feature is the ability to open and close the utility knife just by holding it. This saves so much time, especially when you use it constantly like It is heavy but has a slim profile, so it is barely noticeable in the The handle has also become one of my favorite parts of the knife. In a recent incident, I forked over mine One clip was damaged but not the rest. It is impossible to find these models in stores anymore, so I ordered the 2-pack from Amazon. It will just be a matter of sticking the clip on my old knife after taking the clip off the new.

Cut drywall with quick change button 3 times and it goes bad
3/5

The Milwaukee company is complaining that the quick release button for changing the blade goes bad after a few uses of cutting dry wall. The blade flies out at you which is very It appears they recently changed the type of metal used for the buttons in the Springs to hold the blade in, thereby making the buttons super weak and the buttons wear down out of use. The knife I bought in 2013 was an upgrade from the one I had with them for 7 years. I was only able to use it three times before it expired. I hate that.

A very good product
5/5

These Milwaukee utility blade holders are very good. Their Milwaukee red color makes them easy to spot, and they're sturdy, solid, and lock up tight. They're handsome, too, thanks to their Milwaukee red color. With a push of a button, you can open and close the door easily. An alternative to replacement blades is the use of In addition to changing blades more quickly and easier, the belt clip makes it easier to carry around than a traditional blade holder which must be unscrewed and taken apart. Two minor points, though. It is possible to jiggle the blade, even when it is locked in place, even though it is secure. However, I do not find this to be a significant issue when I use the tool, but some may desire to do so. A second problem is that opening and closing the tool isn't as smooth as I would like. Depending on the unit, this may vary. Ultimately, this does not matter to me personally, but I would recommend use and a drop of oil to smooth out the operation and prevent it from sticking. As a whole, we recommend this product.

! This is a lovely utility knife
5/5

This is a lovely utility knife. It is well-built and very comfortable to use. It is made and is very easy to hold— This is important because, when you are using them to cut boxes or other items, you do not want the possibility of them slipping and harming The way it snaps open with a flick of the wrist, but stays open while in use, is very convenient. It's convenient that it folds up into a small pouch for storage to prevent me from cutting myself when I try to retrieve I enjoy the ease with which the blade can be changed. I've had other knives that were really dangerous to use since I tried to take the old blade out to replace it with a new one. Although you can get knives for cheaper prices, I don't think they are very worthwhile. There is no doubt in my mind that I would.
