Product Description

The product in this category is a "Pull Saw." This product features Japanese-style construction. What are most familiar in the U.S. are European saws, which are pushed so they cut materials thus, they are called "push saws.". However, Japanese saws cut materials by pulling, thus they are called "pull saws," like the product we are describing here. The edge that "pull saws" produce is cleaner than the edge from "push saws." Pull saws require less power, are lighter in weight, and require less power than "push saws."
Japanese steel is used in all SUIZAN Japanese saws and all SUIZAN Japanese steel is used in its manufacturing. This tool makes cuts with high quality steel, giving it a sharp edge.
A variety of SUIZAN products are made in Japan by Japanese master artisans. A town in Japan known for their craft-making tradition has a history of over 100 years making Japanese hand tools. All of the steps necessary to make those tools are done there.
WARNING This Product will change your life! It will give you a whole new experience from using traditional Japanese style saws. You will be able to make a wider range of different woodworking products, which will enrich your daily life.

Questions & Answers

My chop saw isn't cutting it anymore for baseboards, so I'm looking for an alternative. What are the chances of this working?

Make sure you have a Japanese pull saw without a back and a simple miter box. I'm happy with the result. Since I can remember, I have done it. Every time you need to make a cut, it is so much easier than going to the miter saw. Keep your feet on the ground

Can you tell me how thick the blade is?

The results were zero when measured with a digital caliper. There are .02 inches in each inch. It is estimated that the width of the steel sheet is approximately 0.25 mm when measured at the saw teeth, but the steel sheet itself is thinner, measuring around 0.25 mm. It is equal to or less than one inch. A 25 mm thick film. Seeing as how the blade is flexible, it's hard to tell exactly what your cut would be, but I would expect it to be the same as what the teeth of the saw measure.

The pitch (the number of teeth per inch) is what?

This saw is high quality, affordable, and very easy to use
5/5

In total, I've cut 12 sets of dovetails with the saw. The Japanese style dovetail saw I am using is my first of its kind. When I was having difficulty using the western style dovetail saw, I came across some videos on the internet showing how easy it is to use the Japanese pull saws and how affordable they are. The result is that the saw works fine and my dovetails are instantly improved. I almost feel like it cuts them for me. This product is great for the price and I cannot imagine any way to beat it.

It's a good blade for dovetailing because it's stiff and strong
5/5

The main reason I got it was to cut Concerned that it could bend too easily, I took care to secure a blade. It turned out that I wasn't right. It is very stiff at the back, and it does not bend in any way. There is no problem cutting through it. It is tiny, and the kerf is also very.

Using this device is super easy and precise
5/5

Truth be told, I am not a carpenter and don't have super handy skills, but I bought it so I can learn it for It makes a very fine cut, so pulling to cut is much simpler and less strenuous when using this saw. The thing I like best is the push saw, like a push saw you have to push multiple times to get a decent mark, this you have to push multiple times to start a groove, it's painful, but it's incredible smooth once you get it going. Unless you are skilled at building dovetail joints by hand, it seems that it is necessary to own this kind of saw, a decent dovetail marker, and a To date all I've done is chop scrap wood for the fire pit, but if you're decent with hand tools, I'm sure you'll be able to create a decent piece of furniture or cabinet. This would definitely be a purchase I would make.

A saw of this quality and precision is a valuable asset
5/5

You need to use this tool. This is the weapon most people will be able to use without complaint once it is in their arsenal. This is razor sharp and the kerf is so thin that I thought I had forgotten to cut one of the lines and attempted to cut it again until I moved over a bit and found the already fine cut line that I had already made. I am impressed with the The cut will accomplish the goal whether it is a pull out cut, cross cut, or rip cut. Dovetail cutting is easy with this saw, since I am learning to use it. It was an error on my part that I made the order twice and ended up buying two saws, which I don't The next handsaw that I will order is a Suizan steel life changer. Although I am a traditional kind of guy, I also bought a Western style Gent's saw at the same time. I love them both equally, but I would have to say that the Suizan saw is more precise and cuts easier, and the current saw There is less chance of making a mistake. A more forgiving person. My sincere appreciation goes out to you.

Definitely one of the best Japanese tools
5/5

dove tail cutter who is just starting out. In the beginning, I had a traditional saw that wasn't very good (I haven't tried a good traditional dovetail saw, since those are way out of my price range). There are no words to describe the results of this saw. Kerf is very thin and smooth, starting action is very smooth, and the action is very fast (so go slowly! The saw definitely helped me expand my skill set, rather than just limiting my approach to tools. A beginner's budget will also be easy to manage with this price. This is an amazing.

I have NOW resorted to this saw as my "go to"! With my current skill set as a miniature wood worker in both "milled wood" and mixed media This saw has become absolutely adored by me due to its natural burls
5/5

Oh, I now only use hand saws, I did powered (electric) saws all my working life. Now that I'm retired, I'm content with the work I do with my hands. I can't describe the Sharpness of the Steel, but I can vouch for the quality! Having to learn to use a "Pull Saw" took Very Little "retraining" and I am amazed by the consistently thin and smooth kerf I always get.

From now on, I'll use whichever saw I like the best
5/5

Those were not the expectations I had. Using this app is super easy. After a little while, I stopped using half of my other This little saw is likely to be my go-to tool if I am not ripping full sized lumber. As compared to other saws, this one stays sharp, makes those cleanest cuts, and is fast in comparison. It's a good purchase, try it and you'll become a convert. I've already ordered several more of the style.
