Questions & Answers

What would it be like if this worked ?

In what way? Would you like me to dismember a corpse for you? Are you thinking about torture or punishment? To work with wood, you will need this. A multi-bladed rasp is made with blades from multiple saws. It is probably not a good idea to use this

Do you think it would be good for handling?

It is the perfect tool for shaping handles with the Shinto Saw Rasp. As part of my bowl carving axes, I made one of three. This tool is great for forming spoons and other forms as well.

What is the E1201 or E1101 number on this product?

In E1201,

Is it safe to use on stones?

Stones that are less dense, such as soapstone. Originally, this was made for wood shavings, but as with almost everything, it can be used in other ways as well.

There is no better wood rasp than this
5/5

I'm not even going to say how big this thing is. By a wide margin, it can remove more material in a short period of time than any other rasp. Rasps can tend to bind up or grab at the middle There may be some friction during each stroke, but you can almost always push through every stroke with this rasp, giving you You will be delighted to use it. In order to make it work faster with more powerful strokes, I might devise a top handle that allows me to tell it side to side to work both faster and more effectively. If you finish the work with a gentle stroke, the fine tooth side will prepare you for finishing sandpaper. I think this is a great deal at $16. The best $16 I've spent in a long time. * In fact, I did slip and cause a cut to Files like this will make your skin fall off rapidly, more so than other types of My suggestion is that you always wear gloves.

SUGGESTIONS To give two handed strokes (I would pay for it), you might want to create an upper handle that can be removed. It would also be nice if it could be rounded to aid in getting into crevices, and I'd buy it right away.

Introducing the new and improved Raspberry Pi design
5/5

It is composed of hack saw blades arranged in a crisscross pattern Wood can be attacked in a cross pattern without having huge directional gouges left in it. The simple yet effective tool can remove wood quickly without sanding and leaves the surface even enough to minimize sanding time. It has a rough and smooth side. I find I need to use the smooth side 90% of the time. In general, it is primarily used for flat surfaces such as all other flat rasps. There is a big bar room brawler with tuxedo manners in it. In that it digs away wood in a hurry, but gives me a greater sense of control, it was one of my better woodworking purchases. The only thing that would improve it is if it had a handle on both ends since it only cuts one way, like most Japanese blades, but overall it's a great tool, and I would recommend it. Despite its small teeth, it doesn't clog while using it as much as my old, bigger toothed rasp.

This is a great product! It is a very effective and simple tool to handle with very little pressure
4/5

This tool consumes hardwood in a flurry of sawdust. This tool cuts neatly, and makes shallow cuts that are easy to sand back. My disappointment is that the build quality is not very good. My riveting is a bit loose and the handle isn't as secure as I would like. However, due to the way it is designed and constructed, these issues are not typically problems that would need to be solved due to the way it is constructed, making them easy to forgive. Despite my concerns about its durability, the price at which it is offered is a good deal for such high-quality performance. In spite of its shortcomings, I've found it to perform better than any other raspberry I've As I have finished a couple major projects with it, I am well aware that I will get my money's worth from it, so if it fails, I will probably buy another one. A. LATEST UPDATE Even after 18 months of frequent and often strenuous use, this thing is still as cool as ever! The Shinto rasp was worth its weight in gold to me as I worked for more than an hour with a file on an axe head. After I gave up, I took out a hone and did the job in 5 minutes. Steel is shredded by it the same way wood is. Even more amazing, it didn't dull and continues to cut wood as smoothly as ever. The old Ginsu commercial with the rebar being cut and a tomato being filleted made me think of that. This is a monster I love!.

This is an excellent There is a $100 Japanese half-dollar in my possession My previous perception of the round rasp was that it was pretty aggressive

In a year, I hope to have shaped three guitar necks with my Shinto saw, and I doubt that expensive traditional rasp will ever be used.

The Rasp watch is magnificent, but the form in which it is used can This is a good thing
5/5

My first product is furniture, and my second product is bows for archery. These are for making bows, which is why I bought them. I cannot believe how wonderful this is! Tillering the ground up to 6 inches of draw, I used the coarse side of the planer and from 24 to 27 inches, I used the fine side. I finished with a card scraper on the last inch. The razor was of excellent quality and did not clog up like traditional razors. I have never found a rasp of this quality for this price before. In an attempt to clog the hole, I used a scrap piece of red oak and pine respectively. There will be no clogging, the wood will fill in the open areas and then slowly fall out the other side. If you want to fill in the center then flip it over to make a different cut, go ahead. all, I love it and will purchase it again if it ever dulls or gets There's a bad side to it. A part of the handle feels a bit slippery as a result of After I sand that off, I will remove it. Making a cut with the tip is uncomfortable because there is no comfortable place to hold onto. We urge Shinto to create a wooden knob for the tip or make a model for it. It's something I'd be willing to pay more for. There may be a need to reinforce the area surrounding the metal bolster where the rasp meets the handle. When you push incorrectly, there is a possibility of bending the rasp and making it no longer work.

A new one would be bought if I lost mine
5/5

The wood rasps I use to build Flintlock rifles come in handy for making these guns. My goat's hooves were trimmed with this one and I'm pleased with it I used this tool instead of my wood rasps and it worked much better. I used the grinder on a wood project after I finished the goat and I was very pleased with the speed of the cut and the smoothness of the It's not the same tool for hogging off 1/2" of maple, but it's still an affordable option for smaller amounts of stock removal. If I was able to find another one in 3/4 round, I would appreciate it. By the way, the instructions are in Japanese on the package. You obviously know how a rasp works, so the problem is not a big deal.

The time it saves is amazing, and it is a very excellent My work involves mainly cleaning up large mortise joints using standard wood files and rasps
5/5

The quality of this item is unmatchable, there's no room for error. The wood file has replaced all my previous wood files since I purchased it a week ago.
