Selected User Reviews For Makita XRJ04Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Recipro Saw, Tool Only, Blue
Makita has always been my favorite brand, but the battery pack on this tool and the lack of instructions are disappointing. Currently, I have an 18 volt lithium ion impact driver, and would like to add a reciprocating saw to it. Makita is known for having more interchangeable tools available in their 18V range (same battery platform), so I chose that item. The battery platform for this reciprocating saw is different from the one on my impact. When I contacted customer service, I learned that a small metal tool was added to the battery platform. Fortunately, the metal tool does not serve any purpose and can be removed by the owner when I need to replace my battery. I am liable for a voided warrant if I remove this metal tool. The "different platform" was created by Makita so the consumer would have to purchase It is a very weak Makita, I am very disappointed in it.
My reciprocating saw is supposed to charge my batteries, buy me new blades, or find me a cool hanging peg for the shop, but it hasn't done any of those things yet. However, when comparing this saw to other ones without these very clear shortcomings, I'd rather accept it even with those It is obvious that I must provide this saw with adequate support and direction for it to provide me with the cutting power I need and to do the rest of what I have asked. As it turns out, I misunderstood how reciprocal this relationship is. As far as giving and taking goes, it was never about equal exchange of goods, but more about a division of labor that provided us both with things that we both needed It has been an honor to learn so much from this saw, and I am looking forward to getting to know you all better and learning from you.
This tool was not purchased to use on a construction site or for home maintenance. In order to cut and quarter elk, I had to purchase the saw. Battery-powered, so it weighs just 8 pounds so it can be packed in a small bag when used Has a strong work ethic, gets the job done in a jiffy, and is dependable.
Is a dream to cut. In addition to a good blade, an inch and a quarter stroke is all it takes to get the job done. I was surprised by how powerful this saw is. A good ergonomics is essential to a comfortable work environment. I went with this saw to cut my hair. I'd appreciate it if Makita offered their users a sweet deal like that from time to time.
Father's Adding to the Makita troubles, Dewalt has now dropped the price on the Now that the DeWalt costs considerably less, and you still get the free battery/charger comb kit, the deal is even better.
The product does not include a blade. If I had read it properly, I would have noticed that. As of now, I have used this product for fence repairs as well as The battery has so far lasted a long time, but I have not exhausted the battery. Despite being a hefty and heavy product, it is It's super easy to swap out the blades, and they automatically lock into place once This is a program I would recommend in general.
Prior to this, I had only used wired reciprocating saws. However, this one gives the same performance and is much easier to move around than a wired reciprocating saw. On multiple occasions, I have taken it to the junkyard, and I have been able to cut the rear corner off a car with a 6Ah battery. I will admit, however, that it used quite a bit of power so my tablet was just about out of juice when I finished it. In the event that you intend to use it for longer periods of time, be sure to keep extra batteries on hand.
Despite its small size, this tool comes in handy for gardening. The battery does run out fast and I kind of wish I had ordered the brushless model for longer battery life. It is way better than a hand saw to cut nothing but rough wood, but I wish it had the brushless version. For anybody who has a home and garden, I would definitely recommend it. When it comes to how often you will use it, it's right up there with a cordless drill and impact driver.
Like many of their professional competitors, they do a good job. Makita was selling other power tools without batteries, which was a great advantage when I purchased the Makita battery drill kit because all the contractors remodeling our house used Makita tools. I bought the extra batteries and continued to use them whenever other power tools were needed. In the case of 18volt shop tools, it made logical sense to stay with Mikita. My go-to tool around the house is a Milwaukee M12 drill/driver, and my go-to outside tool is an Oregon 40 volt tool.
