Due to the fact that I have it wrapped as a Xmas present, I cannot answer the magnification question, but the chisels are rock-solid and both the hammer and chisels are heavy duty.

Lots of tools for your exploration of geology are contained in this set. The rocks aren't something I get out to every day since I'm just a novice. Nevertheless, this kit was perfect for me and it will be a great asset for a long time. I haven't used the chisels yet, but I have used the hammer to collect some samples from in situ. There is lots of room in the bag since it is so large. Just today, I was viewing some of the framed artwork and grabbed the illuminated magnifier (which I had forgotten came with the set and "re-discovered" At the bottom of the canvas bag he "found" it). There is no distortion in the optics and the LEDs are incredibly In some cases, I have even been able to identify A lava flow once flowed on the land where I reside!.

In any case, we were not sure if they would actually be useful or if we had just acquired However, other types of non-native species exist Our beginner tools were the same as those we used as experts.
