Please edit Recently, I used this on some larger stock and it was actually very helpful, so I upgraded to a 4 star review. If the stone has a weight of less than 100 lbs, this is most likely not the correct tool to use, but if it has a weight of 100 lb and you have to do some rough shaping, it would be of greater value than I thought it would be. Review of the original Yes, it is ok, even if it is a heavy hammer and will break a stone before it shapes it. Considering how quickly it loses its shape when we put it through its paces, if I had it to do over again, I would use a masons hammer for now until I can afford the carbide tool.
I really like it.
A new office building of 800 square feet has just been completed. This Hammer was essential to the completion of a rock wall that was 48 inches thick. As a result, it is heavy and designed to be used with large rocks. A 24oz brick hammer that I also purchased from Bon Tool was also used. It is clear that they work well together. Buying both should be your best course of action if you are planning a large project.
It has only been 2 days since I purchased it and the handle has already broken
Better yet, they do not sell replacement handles.
The box is nice and heavy, making it well suited to its purpose! It is important to get fat chisels though, or your thumb may get crushed.
In fact, yes.
