What will happen if you insert a nail or pin into a magnetized area?

There isn't a magnet at the point where the nail is inserted. In addition, the pin hole is smaller than the head of the pin, so I had to drill it in order to make it wider because I could not find pins with the correct size

That would result in an unnecessary collection of little used nail setters, however. This tool does exactly what it is supposed to do. However, there is always the possibility of a stray nail or poorly held handle turning the handle at an 'unperfect' 90 degree angle, so it is best not to punish it too harshly. There is no problem with how it works.
