When I received my hammer today, I was thrilled to have received a hammer of a high-end European standard, which I had been looking forward to getting as a marine engineer. The hammer seems to be excellent but there are two things about its quality that I'm unhappy with 1) A round wedge was mounted in a dry shaft, which is now cracked and waiting to throw splinters 2) The epoxy sealant that should be on top of the shaft, and would help prevent the splinters from coming out, is not present. The update for Tuesday, 22nd January is as follows My review has been up for seven days now, and I have not heard back *Update 25th January - I have returned the hammer and exchanged it for another, and will see if the seller responds.
Since the seller did not respond, I have taken away 1 star from my original rating. It has been a while since the seller contacted me. Today I received the replacement hammer. I still have a crack and I don't have epoxy sealed as advertised. Is it something I should keep! If possible, I will reach out to the seller through Amazon to find out what they can tell me.
There is something lacking in the woodwork, however, in comparison to the steel. As well, my ends were not epoxied in place. After reviewing the above description, one might conclude that this is now the new normal and not what was portrayed above.
It is well made and feels great in the hand.
I have looked for this information for a long time. As a result of stumbling onto this site, I was tired of looking for hammers at Lowe's so I ordered A good quality of materials and a well balanced composition.
The overall finish is excellent, as is the value for I would highly recommend this product.
I liked this little hammer very much.
I ordered the hammer on time, as promised and it is a little on the small side. This is a very good quality product. Despite being small, it surprised me as it was smaller than I.
The finish work on the hammer head and handle is not very nice.
