Questions & Answers

Not all screws are captive in the jaw, especially the screw that faces the back. The jaws separate and flop around as a result. Could you please confirm that this is ?

I see what you mean, sir. I agree yes, you understand. Although the screw is not captive but guided in a shallow hole (* not through) it allows the jaws to remain intact after the user clamps the intended workpiece between the jaws, however as you understand, since the top side screw is not captive, it can separate and move around easily.

When you say thickness of jaw, how thick is it? How long is it and how wide is it?

It has a jaw width of 8mm (approx. jaws. Jaw length is 50mm (approx. Approximately 10mm at screws (around 2") *br>Jaw Height at screws = 2" The maximum opening is approximately 45mm (0.913") , .5/8") *br>This is a compact

Saves you a lot of time
5/5

In addition to vintage and antique tool restoration, I also build custom tools. It is one of my pet peeves to handle tiny parts on my bench grinder wire wheel as well as It's almost impossible to display cut or burnt hands so easily on most days of the week as long as I try to handle the parts with my hands
This 2" parallel clamp, for me, solves the problem. I have had great success using it to polish, clean, and sharpen most anything. It is easy to use and provides a reliable hold on most things I am cleaning, polishing, and sharpening. Now that my hands have begun to heal a bit, they feel much better.

Although these were rather expensive, I thought they were worth it
4/5

The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because of the above noted issue. were in good condition when they showed up earlier than expected. The parallel bars are to be used to hold the barbells. I haven't used the parallel bars yet, but I'm sure they'll be fine.

I like how these clamps look
4/5

I like how these clamps look. I was a little disappointed in one of the two I bought, because the threads were a little rough. The price is high, but it is worth it.
